Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to optimize the Production organization’s assembly methods, processes, and equipment to minimize labor hours in accordance with business strategies related to quality, efficiency, costs, and safety. Each day, you will ensure appropriate production methods, cycle time, equipment performance, and materials/components in support of production targets. You will also showcase your expertise by defining the working phase sequence of a new production process to achieve the targeted product cost and equipment investment budget.

This role is contributing to the {Primary GIS} in {Xiamen China}. Main stakeholders are {ELDS}.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Optimizes the Production organization's assembly methods, processes, and equipment to minimize labor hours in accordance with business strategies related to quality, efficiency, costs, and safety.
• Actively study the new equipment & new technology to prepare for the automation & intelligent factory set up together with Intelligent Manufacturing team.

• Overall Layout & Value Stream Map & Standard Operation Procedure & Standard Labor Time setup.
• Conduct a comprehensive analysis of the existing production process, identify bottlenecks and waste points, propose and implement improvement measures to achieve process optimization.
• Implementing effective RCA to track improvement performance.
• Develop standardized operation instructions (Sops) to ensure consistency and replicability of production operations and reduce human errors.
•  According to the production needs, rationally plan the layout of the production line to ensure the smooth flow of materials and reduce the handling distance and time.
• Design or improve fixtures, production auxiliary equipment, etc., to improve production efficiency and product quality.
• Use cost analysis tools to evaluate costs in the production process and identify cost savings opportunities.
• Implement cost control measures, such as reducing material loss, improving equipment utilization, etc., to achieve cost savings.
• Evaluates new process technologies to improve productivity, quality, and cost reduction, defining and leading testing activities, approval criteria, and external provider choices.
• Lead or participate in lean production, Six Sigma and other continuous improvement projects to promote the continuous optimization of production systems.
• Setting up new production line together with intelligent manufacturing team.

Qualifications for the role

Education Background             

•             Bachelor’s degree or above, major in science and engineering, such as mechanical engineering, automation, industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, electronic engineering, etc.

Working Experience    

•           Having experience in Industrial Engineering, Production lean improvement, Operation excellence and related field.

•             Having good improvement sense and solid improvement results.

•             Having good electrical safety sense and fully understanding electrical safety rules

Position Knowledge/Skills      

•             Sound knowledge of Industrial Engineering and Intelligent Manufacturing (lean production, automation).

•             Proficient in relevant computer software, such as SolidWorks, CAD (computer-aided design), ERP (enterprise resource planning), MES (Manufacturing Execution System), etc., to carry out process design, production scheduling and data analysis.

•             Participated in IE related projects, with actual project operation experience, able to independently complete the whole process of project planning to implementation.

•             Good knowledge in medium voltage switchgear is preferred.

Language Skills            

•             Fluency in oral and written English.

•             Excellent communication, interpersonal and coordinating skills.

Education Background     

本科及以上学历，工业工程、机械工程、电气自动化、电气工程等相关专业

Working Experience         

• 有工业工程、生产精益改进、卓越运营和相关领域的经验。
• 非常好的改进意识和扎实的改进结果。

Position Knowledge/Skills

• 熟悉工业工程（精益生产、卓越运营）。
• 熟悉智能制造（自动化）。
• 熟悉中压开关设备者优先。

Language Skills      流利的英语口语和书面语。
