Position Overview:

We are seeking a Compute Services Consultant to join our Professional Services team as a Technical SME. This role involves defining, designing, and deploying advanced IT solutions for clients, focusing on both modern and legacy infrastructures. The candidate will guide clients through assessments, solution design, and implementation, with a key focus on integrating Microsoft 365 and modern management technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Define:

  • Conduct client assessments to identify needs and opportunities.
  • Advise on IT strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Create Statements of Work (SOWs), estimates, and technical roadmaps.
  • Design:
  • Architect solutions using Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, and VMware Workspace ONE.
  • Design modern workplace solutions incorporating Microsoft 365 features.
  • Develop cloud infrastructure designs using Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • Create automation scripts using PowerShell and Python.
  • Design Proof of Concept (PoC) projects.

Deploy:

  • Implement designed solutions and lead transitions to modern IT infrastructures.
  • Oversee cloud infrastructure and virtual desktop deployments.
  • Implement Microsoft 365 security and compliance features.
  • Automate deployment processes.
  • Provide post-deployment support and training.
  • Conduct infrastructure and security assessments.

Customer Engagement & Advisory:

  • Serve as a Technical SME for Compute Services.
  • Lead client engagements and provide technical recommendations.
  • Scope and lead PoC projects.
  • Develop and present technical designs and documentation.
  • Conduct workshops and assessments to solve technical challenges.

Project & Process Leadership:

  • Develop technical roadmaps and translate business needs into IT solutions.
  • Support Pre-Sales, Sales, and Service Product Managers.
  • Create project plans and execution strategies.
  • Develop repeatable processes through automation.
  • Provide ongoing guidance and troubleshooting.

Technical Expertise:

  • Expertise in Modern Management technologies like VMware Workspace ONE, Microsoft 365, Intune, Windows Autopilot, Configuration Manager (SCCM), Microsoft Purview, and Entra ID.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 features and security protocols.
  • Experience in cloud infrastructure management using Azure and AWS.
  • Strong scripting skills with PowerShell, Python, Terraform, Ansible, or Terraform.
  • Experience with Windows 10/11 lifecycle management, focusing on Group Policy migration to Intune and SCCM to modern management transitions.
  • Ability to deliver comprehensive as-built documentation, design documents, work breakdown structures (WBS), and high-level architecture diagrams.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Architecture Specification: Develop deliverables mapping customer requirements to technologies, including workshops, questions, presentations, design documents, drawings, templates, RACIs, and other documentation.
  • Advanced SME Recognition: Recognized as an expert in end-user computing, modern workplaces, services, applied, emerging technologies, and processes, with vendor interoperability knowledge of complex IT infrastructures.
  • Modern Management Expertise: Expert on modern workplace technologies like Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, Microsoft 365, Office 365, OneDrive for Business, Windows Hello, Entra ID, Conditional Access, Microsoft Defender, BitLocker, Always On VPNs, hybrid vs cloud-native management, and Entra Connect Sync and Cloud Sync.
  • Cloud and Legacy Integration: Expert on transitioning from traditional to cloud-managed environments supporting modern workplaces.
  • Scripting Proficiency: Experienced in creating, editing, and debugging PowerShell/Python scripts.
  • Cloud Platforms: Worked with Azure and AWS.
  • Security Technologies: Experienced with Single Sign-On, SCEP, PKCS, Microsoft PKI certificates, and OpenSSL.
  • Mobile Device Management: Managed devices for Android, iOS/iPadOS, Apple Business Manager, Google Zero-touch, Samsung Knox.
  • Additional Platforms: Experience with , Chrome OS, macOS Management, Workspace One, or other MDMs is a plus.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Proven collaboration with technical, management, and executive levels.
  • Technical Mastery: Extensive experience in both technical expertise and practical application of technology.
  • Troubleshooting: Performed troubleshooting across several significant multi-vendor products.
  • Risk Management: Relates risks and challenges to other client efforts.
  • Project Planning: Develops detailed project plans, levels of effort, and work breakdown structures.
  • Best Practices: Utilizes industry best practices, techniques, and standards during project execution.
  • Project Completion: Proven ability to complete projects within scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Project Management Tools: Familiar with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices is a plus.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in IT consulting or technical roles.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with modern management solutions
  • Proven experience in cloud infrastructure design and management
  • Strong proficiency in scripting languages.
  • Experience managing VDI environments.
  • Relevant certifications are highly desirable.
  • Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Fluent in English.

Job Posting Estimated End Date: 1/27/2025

The base pay range for this role is $115,850 to $178,400 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only).  Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
