Define the ( software ) architecture of the product

• Define and architect the software framework for automotive SoC systems, considering performance, power efficiency, and safety-critical requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align software architecture with hardware design and automotive standards.
• Lead the design and development of software components and modules for automotive SoC platforms.
• Implement software solutions in compliance with industry standards such as ISO 26262.
• Optimize software performance for real-time constraints and resource efficiency.
• Conduct performance analysis and propose enhancements to meet automotive industry standards
• Support Intellectual Property activities and generate Invention Disclosure Memos to facilitate patent applications.
• Contribute to design reviews across algorithm teams.
• Consider next generation algorithms and new business opportunities.
• Develop algorithms with a view to implementing on embedded DSP platforms.
• Represent Valeo at various Industry Working Groups and at Conferences where directed.
• Support the design and implementation of in-company training sessions in your area of expertise.
• Develop and maintain relationship with university counterparts.
• Strive to improve competencies in the field of automotive vision based ADAS, Computer vision and C++ in particular
• Identify inefficiencies and suggest/implement improvements within the current processes used in al gorithm, development. Perform state-of-the-art research into deep learning & Computer vision approaches and methodologies. Creation of initial high-level module and sub-module architecture at project kick-off as well as methodologies. Provide expertise to algorithm and embedded leads in the design of all the CV/DL functions.
• Research, develop, benchmark, test and document state of the art computer vision and image processing
• Algorithms for autonomous driving applications within your assigned project team.
• Perform research into new vision technology, ideas, and approaches.
• Ensure the software architecture meets safety and security standards relevant to automotive systems.
• Collaborate with safety engineers to conduct risk assessments and develop safety-critical software components.

Secure the product robustness, apply standards

• Enforce standards Engineering discipline solutions  

• Support Engineering Discipline Design Review

• Manage the link with other Engineering disciplines / calling for hierarchical support if needed

• Capitalization of the know-how (Standardization, Specifications, technical reports, processes and guidelines)

Support Engineering discipline requirement Management

• Provides inputs and requirements to the Engineering discipline for the development

• Interface with customer for Engineering discipline architecture content

• Contribute to refine the functions into the right sub-systems (system - mechanical -  software - hardware …)

Case of System Architect: distribute and spit the functions per Engineering discipline

• Translate system requirements in Engineering disciplines requirements

• In collaboration with the different competences (Engineering disciplines) define the functions into the right sub-systems (software )

• Ensure the inter-operability of all sub-systems

Skills

•Strong C, C++ programming skills or strong rapid prototyping skills in Enterprise Architect for Modeling, Experience in Doors

•Good understanding of fundamental computer vision algorithms and approaches.

•Excellent English language communication skills, both written and verbal.

•High level of innovation and motivation.

•Excellent research experience

•Experience with automotive software standards such as AUTOSAR, ISO 26262, and familiarity with communication protocols like CAN, Ethernet.
