Job Description:
The Benefits Professional supports the development of healthcare benefits strategy and ongoing management of the full spectrum of health and benefits programs via analysis and execution activities. This role contributes towards the fostering of an employee-centric workplace approach that results in the improved well-being of all employees enrolled in UPS benefits programs and related initiatives. The Benefits Professional serves as the project manager on select projects, regularly interacts with external vendors and internal stakeholders, and ensures programs are operating as expected and achieving success, while having the opportunity to significantly grow health and benefits business acumen.
Qualifications
Required:
Must possess a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) or be a current UPS employee with three years of UPS experience
Must be located in the same geographical location as the job or be willing to self-relocate to the area
Must be willing and available to report to the UPS Corporate Office in Atlanta on a daily basis
Must be willing and available to travel as necessary
Possesses a minimum of three years prior experience managing healthcare plans and programs
Possesses a minimum of three years of prior experience managing vendors that administer benefits offerings
Demonstrates prior working experience and knowledge of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA)
Shows prior experience formally managing projects of various size and scope
Demonstrates highly effective interpersonal communication skills
Preferred:
Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS), Certified Employee Benefit Administrator (CEBA) and/or Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) certification
