We are currently recruiting for Senior Investment Data Specialist to join Vanguard’s IMG Service Team.
The successful candidate will enhance investment decision-making and fund oversight by ensuring the integrity and accuracy of investment and fund data. This is a mid-level position, offering exposure to global data flows, operational complexity, and strategic initiatives.
In this role you will
Act as the primary contact for complex investment data inquiries across IMG and enterprise stakeholders
Identify and influence optimal investment data flows and support process enhancements
Set up new issuer bonds in Aladdin using Bloomberg data
Partner with internal teams to maintain and improve the integrity of investment and fund data
Execute complex daily and ad hoc tasks under tight deadlines, managing competing priorities and multiple data inputs.
Escalate and resolve complex portfolio and data-related issues.
Build and maintain strong global networks with peers and leaders across US and APAC regions
Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Coach less tenured team members to develop skills and expertise of wider team

Required Experience & Skills
Deep knowledge and hands-on experience with the Aladdin platform
Strong investment acumen, particularly in global fixed income markets
Proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis and automation
Experience in operational environments, including incident detection and stakeholder management
Familiarity with the investment lifecycle and risk controls
Ability to monitor market events and assess their impact on investment operations
Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, or a related field
Minimum of five years of relevant work experience in fund operations or investment data roles
CFA or equivalent qualification preferred

This is a hybrid position and would require you to work in the office Tuesday-Thursday.
This role encompasses activities that fall within the remit of UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulation. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to UK regulatory requirements in relation to conduct rules, regulatory references and the assessment of fitness and propriety, knowledge, experience and competence. Where appropriate, the role may also be subject to approval by the UK FCA.
