Fellow is looking for engaging and dependable part-time Field Experience Specialist in New York, NY to bring our premium coffee gear to life through in-store demos. This role is key to educating customers, supporting store staff, and helping drive sales at retail partners like Crate & Barrel and Williams Sonoma.

Who You Are

As a Field Experience Specialist, you’ll represent Fellow in top-tier retail locations by running weekend demos of our products, including the Aiden Precision Brewer and our Series 1 Espresso Machine. You’ll be responsible for setting up a branded station, brewing coffee, engaging with customers, and sharing product knowledge with store associates. After each shift, you’ll submit a short report with highlights, photos, and feedback.

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct engaging, hands-on product demos  one to two weekdays, with a strong emphasis on Friday through Sunday
  • Educate customers and store associates on Fellow products, brewing techniques, and our brand story
  • Maintain a clean, professional setup using the provided demo kit or in store demo units
  • Submit a post-visit report within 48 hours, including a brief recap, sales notes, and photos
  • Capture photos of your setup, Fellow merchandising, and any notable competitor displays
  • Provide field feedback and observations to the Fellow team
  • Engage with and get to know local cafes and small businesses that carry our products, with the goal of identifying potential demo or activation opportunities

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in customer service and/or sales
  • Experience working with KPIs
  • Reliable, self-directed, and customer-focused
  • Passion for coffee and comfort with brewing equipment (barista or demo experience is a plus)
  • Professional, personable, and confident when engaging with customers and retail sales associates
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Weekend availability required; must be comfortable working solo in a store environment
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Daily access to a personal computer and internet

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in coffee roasting, coffee gear or kitchen ware sales, or barista roles
  • Enthusiasm for coffee and brewing gear, with a strong desire to share that passion
  • Ability to learn quickly and work independently

Compensation & Schedule

  • Contract role paid at $25-28/hour, based on experience
  • Flexible schedule required based on business needs. FES team members are expected to work approximately 18–20 hours per week within Key Account locations in their assigned city. Availability should include one to two weekdays, with a strong emphasis on Friday through Sunday, which represent the highest foot-traffic and sales periods within big-box retail environments.
  • As the FES program continues to evolve to meet business needs, adaptability and schedule flexibility are essential.
