Development Database Analyst - Office of Development
Job Summary:
Manages donor-related information, including the relationship management system/database for all fundraising efforts. Serves as the resident expert in said database, with advanced proficiency in all modules, functions, and features. Provide support to the office of development staff by creating and running statistical, analytical, and financial reports; training and implementing data standards and procedures; development and implementation of policies and procedures to streamline and guide data entry. Work with other programs/software and screening tools designed to conduct ongoing research to identify prospects including wealth screening and patient information.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Healthcare or related field and two (2) years of related experience. Raiser's edge database experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Proficiency in data administration, query-writing, data imports and exports, and report creation is required. Proven ability to create analytical models, analyze data, and interpret information to assist with the development of fundraising strategies. Proven skill in training individuals in software applications. Ability to utilize and master new programs, products, and tools to enhance department efficiencies. Demonstrates effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills and experience in maintaining accuracy of work products. General knowledge of fundraising principles and practices, including confidentiality standards preferred.
Responsibilities
- Manages the office of development database as a super user to include: report writing, training, querying, export / import of data ensuring the integrity of the system.
- Responsible for the oversight and monitors the integrity of the information contained in the database and determines how to translate data into usable, actionable information for the formation and execution of fundraising strategies and metrics; takes leadership role in data integrity meetings.
- Acts as a liaison between development and information systems to assure the integrity of donor, event, mailing, and revenue data.
- Manages several projects simultaneously.
- Works with information systems, vendors and users to find the best technological means to meet the business needs of the office of development.
- Provides full oversight for tracking all data resources including donations, pledges, in-kind support, cultivation and solicitation activities, special events, and other constituent, gift, and event data management.
- Coordinates with information systems as needed for upgrades, data management issues, system updates and training.
- Maintains confidentiality of database records and verifies that procedures are in place to protect the confidentiality.
- Performs advanced analysis and updates of constituent and gift data; is responsible for database cleanup; creates complex queries, exports and reports.
- Collaborates with all development staff on segmentation strategies and reports for direct mail, and statistical analysis of all campaigns.
