To manage the Power Train Logistics function which includes inbound, binning, picking, kitting and supply to point of use. Manage the 3rd party team effectively to deliver results. Accountable for inventory at warehouse, packaging of out bound parts and preservation. Work with suppliers to improve packaging and preservation and schedule parts to warehouse and line as applicable to maintain optimal / controlled inventory. Manage a small team and develop them for future roles.
Role Definition
Leads the analyzing and developing of logistics plans that affect production, distribution, and inventory specific to area of responsibility.
Responsibilities
• Accountable for all carrier selection and renewals. Plays key role in contract negotiations and interfacing with selected carriers necessary to maintain expected levels of service.
• Inspires continuous improvement of logistics processes through process improvement, prioritization, and project planning.

• Owns the development and maintainence cost estimates, forecasts, and cost models. Tracking costs and savings for all transportation modes.
