Position Summary
This program is a 10-week full-time opportunity that provides real work experience with a team in your business area.  You will be aligned to projects to lead or contribute to while also participating in networking, development, and career exploration activities. Our Corporate Interns can apply for future full-time roles during the program and have an increased likelihood to receive an offer for a post-graduation role.

This is a hybrid position with 3 days (generally Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) in one of the following office locations based on your preference: Northbrook, IL / Hartford, CT / Woonsocket, RI. The other 2 days each week will be working remotely from home, office, or another location of your choice.  No housing or housing stipend will be provided, but interns will be given the opportunity to connect with each other prior to the start of the program to coordinate housing if desired.

About this business area:

The Analytical Consultant Services (ANCS) department is responsible for client analytics and modeling. With numbers and the story they tell, our area supports the relationship that sales, clinical partners, and account managers have with the clients through the analytical lens. To do so includes modeling client opportunities of controlling pharmacy costs, deep data dives, incorporating contract terms and how that reflects on past utilization to understand future costs, and in general providing business knowledge and support for data related requests.

A Consultant Intern who joins the Analytic Consulting Services team provides CVS Health clients with insight to better understand their pharmaceutical data, and fact-based business intelligence necessary to make informed decisions on their key health care strategies.

 The Analytics Consultant Internship is targeted for Undergraduate students and allows the individual to leverage client data to provide insight and strategic recommendations to our internal and external clients regarding pharmacy benefits. This position is part of the Analytical Consultant Services department (ANCS) which handles all client facing analytics.

The Intern will work to construct analytic modeling and forecasting with the client’s data through simple to moderate SQL/SAS queries to discover data patterns and provide the explanation of increasing pharmacy costs. Responsibilities include modeling potential cost saving solutions and member disruption, promoting opportunities to encourage prescription adherence, data investigation to explain client concerns, and showing the value of benefit changes through outcomes reporting of targeted analytic solutions to mitigate the client’s pharmacy trend.

Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role. This includes participation in Curricular Practical Training (CPT), Optional Practical Training (OPT), and F-1 Visa programs.

Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and/or coding language experience such as SAS, SQL, Python, R
  • Have a willingness to relocate to Northbrook, IL / Hartford, CT / Woonsocket, RI
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem solving, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated leadership experience. Examples include: active roles in student or social organization activities, sports, or school or work-related projects
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Internship or work experience in related field such as business or healthcare
  • Have an interest in obtaining full-time position within CVS Health upon graduation
  • Be resourceful and can quickly adapt to change 

Education

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree
  • Have an anticipated graduation date between September 2025 and August 2026
  • Have a major, minor or concentration relevant to the position such as Data Analytics, Finance, Mathematics, Public Health, Statistics, Epidemiology, Healthcare Policies, Economics, or any other data-driven field

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:


 

$17.00 - $31.30
