We are currently seeking a Assistant Technical Services Manager to work on a prestigious client site in London Bridge
Hours: 08:00 -17:00 Mon-Fri

Position Concept
This key position and challenging role of the Assistant Technical Service Manager will report directly to the Technical Service Manager, you will be key stakeholder of the REM operational delivery within the Critical Facility. The Assistant TSM will have direct line management responsibility for the engineering team and is accountable for the effective people management of this team on the account.
As the post holder, you will be expected to have a detailed technical understanding of all installed MEP systems, contingency procedures and be proactive in coaching other members of your team to ensure capability is consistent within the team. The Assistant TSM will also be expected to become familiar with all aspects of the administrative requirements of the REM Portfolio and Integral/JLL process & procedures.
Working closely with the engineering team the Assistant TSM will be responsible for the delivery of all day-to-day critical asset & System management, including supporting site FMs with projects and contractors, planned and reactive MEP works and act as the technical support function for the team during these works. The Assistant TSM will provide robust leadership of the team, motivating and driving the team to exceed expectations in customer service and operational excellence.
You will ensure that the conduct of any personnel under your control is safe, professional and conscientious. You will also be required to attend site meetings. Driving a Health and Safety lead culture throughout the team on the account, with your experience and knowledge of safe systems of works and compliance.
Working closely with the Account teams for REM to achieve 100% Critical Facilities Uptime. The Assistant TSM will be responsible in ensure that the engineering teams work together to achieve the required standards of Critical Facilities Risk Management and Operational Compliance.
Key Tasks
Duties to include:
Ø Supervise, coordinate and lead the site-based engineering team, in delivering the SOW.
Ø Operate all systems within the facility in a competent, effective and efficient manner. Making recommendations for improvement and providing concise technical reports when required.
Ø The control of all activities relating to the technical and efficient operation of the installed building systems including all MEP assets and compliance with statutory regulations.
Ø Working closely with the engineering team you should ensure that for Specialist Vendors visits have been prepared and approved by the site FMs.
Ø To provide backup as engineering relief cover in the event of an emergency, which may require temporary Shift working.
Ø Attend and deliver weekly operations meetings, client meetings as requested.
Ø Supporting CAFM systems and helpdesk, keeping within “green” SLA’s & KPI’s.
Ø To assist the Account Team in completing the Monthly and Quarterly Engineering Report ensuring that significant events or activities are noted.
Ø Prepare information to be included in the Integral/JLL monthly Engineering reports.
Ø Ensure the asset database and are correct and up to date.
Ø To monitor utilities usage and report to the Account Team on any abnormalities or energy savings.
Ø Compilation of control of engineering risk register and report on critical systems availability/asset reliability.
Ø Review of engineering competency, skills gaps, and future training, ensure contract is staffed by competent teams, ensuring post holders are fully competent and that effective succession planning arrangements are in place.
Ø Management of onsite critical spares including maintaining site stock register and monthly auditing.
Ø Compilation of critical incident (2-2-2) & near miss reporting and after-action reviews for any critical incident.
Ø Ensure all critical equipment operational issues are brought to the Customers attention immediately and provide all relevant reports with recommendations.
Ø Ensure all technical / legislative updates are effectively communicated and implemented by the engineering team.
Ø Maintain minimum levels of resourcing onsite, arranging suitable shift covers/resources when required. (Including ONWH support of critical works)
Ø Active participation in the site escalation process, including on-call and support in the event of emergency response requirements.
Ø People Management – Preform appraisals for direct reports and set clear objectives for individuals within the group.
Ø Proactively promote a “Safety First” culture in line with the JLL Cardinal Rules of Safety are adhered to by all engineering teams.
Personal Specification:
Ø Electrical/Mechanical Engineer.
Ø C&G Pts. 1 & 2, equivalent or exceeds.
Ø 18th Edition IEE: Wiring and Installation desirable.
Ø C&G 2391 test and inspection; BS 7671:2001 for inspection, testing and certification.
Ø Strong communication skills and the ability to deal with all levels of staff.
Ø Ability to lead, motivate and direct teams of engineers and shift leaders.
Ø Proactive in achieving the highest standard of operation.
Ø Have good IT and report writing skills.
Ø Ability to work under pressure whilst remaining calm, clear thinking and able to deliver the required services to the client within given time constraints.
Ø Individuals who can demonstrate commitment and previous experience; but not meet all the required technical qualifications may be considered subject to Operations Directors approval.
Ø Demonstrate a willingness to attend on and off-site training for MEP assets, this may require nights away from home due to the nature of the specialist training such as HV Authorised Person Training.
Ø A high level of initiative, with drive to continuously improve the operation.
Ø A smart presentable corporate appearance
Ø Advanced communication skills with a full understanding of customer needs & expectations
Ø Ability to comprehend and act upon both verbal and written instructions
Ø Enthusiasm and demonstration of pro-activity, diligence, and alertness, with the willingness to participate in appropriate internal training programmes.
Ø Integrity, honesty, and punctuality is also expected.
