Job Description:

Looking for a skilled Platform Engineer to join our team and help drive our cloud-native initiatives forward. You will work closely with our Cloud platforms, Platform engineering, DevOps and Engineering teams to design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and reliable platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

· Design, build, and maintain robust cloud-native platforms using Kubernetes (K8s) on Azure Cloud (AKS).

· Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, or similar.

· Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for streamlined application deployment and updates.

· Contribute to the development of cloud services, infrastructure policies and design patterns.

· Implement GitOps strategies for application lifecycle management and infrastructure provisioning.

· Work with observability tools (Splunk and New Relic) to monitor and ensure the health and performance of cloud environments and applications.

· Leverage security best practices to implement controls and governance across cloud infrastructure, ensuring compliance with security standards.

· Identify and implement automation and operational efficiencies

· Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize platform performance across multiple environments.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of infrastructure with development and operations workflows.

· Provide support and guidance to development and operations teams regarding containerization best practices.

· Develop and maintain documentation for platform configurations, processes, and procedures.

· Bridge cloud platform teams, development teams, and stakeholders for seamless integration.

· Stay up to date with the latest developments in cloud technology and best practices in platform engineering.

Skill set Requirements:

· Proven experience as a Platform Engineer or similar role, with a focus on Kubernetes, AKS and EKS.

· Experience working with Cloud Technologies Azure, AWS and GCP.

· Experience working with package management tools like Helm other CNCF tools to manage and deploy applications.

· Work with OCI, Docker and other for containerised technologies.

· Implement and manage service mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd.

· Experience with design and maintain automated CI/CD pipeline using Gitlab

· Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using tools such as Terraform and Ansible.

· Implement observability solutions using Open Telemetry, New Relic, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, and other monitoring tools.

· Ensure the security of the platform by implementing best practices and compliance measures.

· Experience implementing GitOps practices using tools like ArgoCD or Flux.

· Strong scripting skills in languages such as Bash, Python, or Go.

· Understanding of Cloud security controls and the ability to implement security best practices for cloud infrastructure.

· Understanding of network topologies, protocols, and services.

· Experience working in an agile or DevOps-driven environment.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

· Strong communication and collaboration skills, capable of working with both technical and non-technical teams.
