Job Summary

The Assistant Director of Corporate Sponsorships in the Institutional Advancement Office is responsible for securing and managing sponsorships to support the college’s fundraising and engagement initiatives across all events and programs, ensuring alignment with the Endicott College’s strategic goals. With a specific focus on the Misselwood Concours D’Elegance, this role encompasses planning and executing the event, including strategic outreach and committee management. 

The Assistant Director will work closely with alumni, donors, corporate partners, and internal teams to create mutually beneficial partnerships. Collaboration with colleagues and support for leadership travel and events are also essential aspects of the position.

Key Outcomes

60% of Time: Manage revenue generation for the prestigious Misselwood Concours d’Elegance at Endicott, focusing on sponsorships, planning, and stakeholder relations.

  • Oversee event planning committees and collaborate with key stakeholders to enhance the event’s success and reputation.

  • Coordinate with the Marketing team to maximize event promotion and ensure prominent sponsor visibility.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sponsorship strategy to attract high-profile sponsors and optimize revenue.

  • Identify and cultivate potential sponsors whose brand values align with the event’s prestige.

  • Supervise sponsor-related and merchandise activities to ensure seamless integration into the event experience.

  • Track progress and report on outcomes, including solicitation results, pipeline status, and sponsorship reach.

25% of Time: Secure sponsorships for advancement fundraising events

  • Design and implement sponsorship packages tailored to meet the event’s fundraising goals and appeal to potential funders.

  • Engage potential sponsors with customized proposals, presenting sponsorship opportunities and negotiating terms to secure commitments.

  • Collaborate with event planning teams to incorporate sponsor requirements and benefits into event logistics, including signage, promotional materials, and on-site activities.

  • Assess the effectiveness of sponsorship strategies and gather feedback from sponsors to improve sponsorship offerings and event success.

  • Communicate sponsorship reach and impact to donors following the event.

15% of Time: Strengthen and maintain campus relationships to develop and implement a consistent sponsorship strategy. 

  • Create standardized procedures, guidelines, and best practices to ensure a cohesive approach to corporate sponsorship engagement. 

  • Build strong relationships with campus departments, faculty, and administration to understand their programming needs and sponsorship opportunities.

  • Collaborate with campus stakeholders to identify high-impact events or programs that align with corporate sponsor interests and institutional goals.

  • Develop tailored sponsorship packages that address the unique needs of each program, offering flexible options for sponsors.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

 
  • Bachelor's degree; master's or equivalent preferred 

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sponsorship sales, fundraising, event planning or related field.

  • Technological proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, database and project management software, and CRM systems.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

  • Knowledge of major gift fundraising techniques, donor cultivation, and stewardship best practices.

  • Insight into donor motivations, giving behaviors, and philanthropic trends.

  • Familiarity with the mission and strategic goals of Endicott College.

  • Strong relationship-building skills with an ability to maintain long-term connections.

  • Ability to influence and negotiate with high-net-worth individuals.

  • Willingness and ability to travel for donor meetings and events and work occasional evenings and weekends.
