Job Summary

Provide customer and internal technical support for Neogen’s products, equipment, and services for quality indicators, pathogen, residues, natural contaminants, and food allergens by performing the following duties.

Terms of Employment: Permanent

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Include:

• Analyze samples with Neogen’s test kits, according to kit instructions, per customer, sales and other’s request.
• Generates and analyzes data from a variety of laboratory techniques and analytic instrumentation
• Participate in internal alpha and beta site evaluations.
• Performs validation studies to replicate results and to verify results with industry or scientific literature standards.
• Calibrate analytical instrumentation.
• Participate in sample proficiency programs such as FAPAS
• Tabulates and graphs data and prepares technical reports for senior personnel.
• Participate in kit validations for additional commodities.
• Evaluates competitor products to find deficiencies that put Neogen products at an advantage.
• Participate in kit validations with customers.
• Presents work at internal meetings and scientific conferences
• Provide scientific input and recommendations to Managers
• Design laboratory experiments
• Assist in the development of departmental budget
• Problem solving and troubleshooting for diagnostic kits and components
• Assists in sales, customer, distributor, and new hire training.
• Provide remote or on-site technical support regarding kit components and performance
• Travels for customer training, support and/or trouble shooting.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required Include:

• Minimum Qualification: Master’s degree or higher in food science/engineering is preferred.
• Food testing related experience about for 2+ years
• In depth knowledge and hands-on experience on diagnostic/testing
• A valid driver's license and willingness to travel to Asia-Pacific region.
• Excellent active listening and customer service skills.
• Effective written and spoken interpersonal skills in English
• Self-motivated and willing to take challenges to new technology
• Good personality with creative, aggressive, hands-on working style
• Experience in many product presentations and complaint handling
• Superb work ethic and a growth mindset.
• Language skills – Fluently in English
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Must be highly motivated, driven with excellent organization skills and the ability to work as part of a team, as well as on own initiative.
