Applies business and functional knowledge to develop end-to-end testing strategies through the use of quality processes and methodologies. Applies testing methodologies, principles and processes to define and implement key metrics to manage and assess the testing process including test execution and defect resolution.

Summary:
As a Quality Engineering Lead, you will lead a team of quality engineers, guiding them through the complexities of multi-disciplinary team planning and ecosystem integration. Your typical day will involve collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality applications. You will apply your business and functional knowledge to develop comprehensive testing strategies, ensuring that quality processes and methodologies are effectively implemented throughout the application lifecycle. You will also focus on defining and implementing key metrics to manage and assess the testing process, including test execution and defect resolution, ultimately driving quality and efficiency in the development process.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Perform functional testing of MT to MX conversion (and vice versa) as part of ISO20022 / CBPR+ migration initiatives.
- Validate message transformations across formats (e.g., MT103 ? pacs.008, MT202 ? pacs.009, MT940 ? camt.053, etc.).
- Review mapping documents, data transformation rules, and schema validations to ensure accuracy and compliance with ISO20022 standards.
- Execute test cases for payment flows involving cross-border, domestic, and clearing system integrations.
- Perform backend validations using Oracle SQL queries to verify data consistency, message mappings, and reconciliations.
- Collaborate with BA/Dev/Architect teams to clarify requirements and ensure adherence to SWIFT CBPR+ guidelines.
- Create and maintain BDD test scenarios (Cucumber/Gherkin) for MT–MX conversion rules.
- Use JIRA for test case management, defect tracking, and Agile ceremonies.
- Integrate testing activities with Jenkins pipelines to support CI/CD execution.
- Log and track defects, perform root cause analysis, and retest fixes
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Clear2Pay.
- Good To Have Skills: Experience with Fiserv Enterprise Payments Platform, Test Automation Strategy, Payments Fundamentals.
- Strong knowledge of SWIFT Payments Domain with focus on MT/MX message formats.
- Experience in XCT (Cross-border / Cross-currency Transaction Testing)
- Hands-on experience with ISO20022 migration / CBPR+ initiatives.
- Proficiency in Oracle DB – ability to write and optimize SQL queries for testing/validation.
- Experience validating message mapping rules and transformation logic.
- Exposure to XML/ISO20022 schemas, schema validation tools, and parsing.
- Knowledge of BDD frameworks (Cucumber/Gherkin).
- Proficiency with JIRA for test & defect management.
- Basic understanding of Jenkins for test automation execution in CI/CD pipelines.
- Good understanding of functional testing, defect lifecycle, and Agile ways of working.
- Familiarity with payment hubs, SWIFT Alliance Access (SAA), and messaging systems.
- API testing experience (Postman, RestAssured).
- Automation testing exposure (BDD + Selenium/Java or similar).
- Understanding of regulatory requirements around cross-border payments.
- FIS payment systems and TFK experience (Payment Hub, OPF, etc.)
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Clear2Pay.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
