SUMMARY

The Associate Director, Project Management Office (PMO) spearheads strategic initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and drive transformative change across Arete. This role strategically integrates Sales, Arete’s Cyber Operations teams, and Internal Technology to optimize processes and achieve key business objectives. The Associate Director, PMO is pivotal in setting evidence-based priorities, fostering innovation, and ensuring continuous improvement in critical areas such as Sales Growth, Scalability, Profitability, and Innovation Initiatives.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Develops and executes the strategic vision for the PMO department, emphasizing automation and efficiency to manage global events effectively
  • Uses Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control (DMAIC) method as well as other tools and processes endorsed by the Project Management Institute (PMI) and in the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)® guidance to optimize our process flow across the teams and functions
  • Collaborates with cross-functional global teams to execute initiatives aligned with growth, scale, technology, and profitability objectives
  • Serves as a systems engineering leader by cultivating talent, building strategic partnerships, identifying innovation opportunities, and operationalizing feedback loops
  • Implements seamless integration across clients, services, sales, data, and technology to streamline operations and enhance organizational agility
  • Executes change management efforts aligned with the organizational model, conducting thorough testing and post-mortem analyses to optimize performance outcomes
  • Prioritizes and addresses workforce management challenges and opportunities using advanced methodologies such as Kaizen, Six Sigma, and lean engineering principles
  • Facilitates daily scrum calls and ensures effective communication and coordination between the Center of Excellence (COE), US offices, and scheduling teams
  • Applies data-driven insights to make strategic recommendations and implement iterative improvements, beginning with segmented approaches before scaling system-wide enhancements
  • Manages people; interviews, hires, and trains team members; sets clear job expectations and effectively communicates roles and responsibilities to team; and plans, assigns, and directs work
  • Monitors team performance, offers guidance and feedback as needed to ensure they excel in their roles and contributes to the overall team's success
  • Drives the recruitment, retention, and professional development of high caliber employees

  • May perform other duties as assigned by management

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, or related field and 10+ years of experience in a PMO or equivalent leadership role within a complex organizational environment or master’s degree and 8+ years related experience or Doctorate and 6+ years related experience
  • PMP Certification, preferred
  • Proficiency in implementing methodologies such as Kaizen, Six Sigma, and lean engineering principles to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness
  • Proficiency in systems engineering, operational improvement, and change management methodologies

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Salary and benefits shall be paid consistent with Arete salary and benefit policy.

FLSA OVERTIME CATEGORY

Job is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
