We are currently recruiting for a Reference Laboratory Key Account Manager for our Companion Animal group. Each day, you will have a responsibility to lead and manage activities by going into Veterinary practices to promote IDEXX as their external reference laboratory provider.
Communicating the true value of our products and services is at the heart of IDEXX’s commercial business. Our sales professionals develop deep and meaningful relationships offering solutions to meet our customers' unique needs.
To work closely with practices to understand their reference laboratory needs, identifying and working with the team to achieve new business opportunities (on current IDEXX accounts or new IDEXX customers) while building rapport with stakeholders.
Working independently, you’ll be the point of reference for the reference laboratory – representing the commercial team. Ensuring sales and revenue goals are met - you’ll build relationships, and develop the strategy and the execution plans for the reference laboratory initiatives. It is essential for success that there is a strong collaboration with your internal commercial partners.

As our ideal Key Account Manager, you will tick all the following boxes:
A proven successful background in sales is essential
In-clinic experience and/or scientific background is hugely advantageous
Ability to promote ideas persuasively, you’re motivating & problem solving is a key strength
You enjoy project management & experience of working on large proposals is beneficial
Ability to develop and execute a sales strategy by account alongside other internal stakeholders
Fantastic organisational skills and time management
Flexibility for reactive travel & motivation for a varied work week
Outstanding communication skills across several stakeholders both internally and externally
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
You’re passionate about veterinary diagnostics & you’re able to articulate the value of IDEXX and the services we are able to provide.
