Utilizing strong customer services skill this role is accountable to our clients to analyze, underwrite and recommend approval loan/ line of credit applications within our services standards, with solid justification.  The account manager is also responsible for communicating loan decisions and requirements to advisors while maintaining high customer service skills.  The role also involves responding to inquiries submitted by clients, financial advisors and staff by either phone or email.  The role is required to provide coaching and guidance to junior Account Managers regarding underwriting/ inquiries / escalations.

The Specialized Retail Lending department is currently looking for a bilingual dynamic individual to joint their team as Account Manager

Position Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and interpret financial statements (personal and corporate) and other documents related to the underwriting of loan applications

  • Recommend for approval more complex loan transactions up to $1,000,000

  • Processing of more complex new loan applications in accordance with Bank policies and procedures

  • Prioritization of daily work

  • Adjudicate security requirements on existing loan portfolio

  • Review loans for satisfactory repayment history, correct and continued security documentation and status

Required Qualifications:

  • Fully bilingual (French/English): The successful candidate will be required to communicate in English and French in order to support clients from various jurisdictions.

  • 3-5 years of lending experience

  • Excellent PC skills including Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint

  • Good conflict resolution skills

  • Sound problem solving skills and strong negotiation and influencing skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to interpret business financial statements / accounts

  • Excellent knowledge of Banking policies, procedures and products

  • Strong knowledge of banking industry

  • Strong knowledge of banking systems

  • Sound knowledge of insurance and investment-based products

Salary range is expected to be between

$48,075.00 CAD - $80,125.00 CAD
