Position Summary

Aetna's Medicare Stars Web team is an integral part of the Medicare Stars business.  We are seeking a Senior Manager, Software Dev Eng (IC), to join our team.  This team manages data environments, reporting and web applications that support Medicare and Stars-specific initiatives.

In this fast-paced environment, the candidate will have opportunities to work with a wide variety of Medicare business areas and applications.  Within the team, the candidate will interact with skilled analysts and technical partners.  The ideal candidate for this position has a high business acumen including understanding of Medicare Stars as well as a technical background to be able to assist with project initiation, vendor assessment and other business-critical initiatives

Location can be anywhere in the U.S.



Required Qualifications

  • 5-7 or more years of healthcare, health insurance or a relevant combination of experience
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering on projects
  • Experience with writing and executing SQL queries
  • Working knowledge of Agile methodologies including SAFe concepts as well as familiarity with Agile tools such as Rally
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously, prioritizing effectually, and meeting deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and negotiate across business areas
  • Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking ability.
  • Ability to understand complex systems and solve challenging analytical problems.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders at different levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Medicare Stars
  • Knowledge of Web Internet Security and base level knowledge of business areas.
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills with proven experience in diagnostic and troubleshooting experience in software and enterprise environments.
  • Strong experience with developing SQL Server, including work with stored procedures, functions, triggers, and database design and SQL tuning
  • Experience in Web Api/Web Api2
  • Experience in JavaScript Frameworks
  • Experience in development of web-based applications using the Microsoft technology stack (C# (.Net core), Azure, .NET framework).
  • Experience developing MS SQL Server 2016 or newer solutions, or other relational databases including: Database Engine, Integration Services (SSIS)
  • Experience in Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment practices


Education

Degree in Computer Science, HealthCare Informatics, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, degree and/or the equivalent work experience in infrastructure technology disciplines.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$106,605.00 - $213,210.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
