The Role:
As a Welder with Xylem, you will process raw materials to fabricate semi-complex parts, using tools and machinery to cut, shape, and assemble components. You will interpret technical drawings to fit, align, and calibrate parts to meet tight tolerances and performance standards. You will also ensure quality and accuracy throughout the fabrication process.
Responsibilities:
Follows all policies and guidelines regarding workplace safety and product quality
FCAW and GMAW Welding from basic blueprints
Performs basic operations using hand and power tools including but not limited to chipping hammers and grinders
Enter work hours in ERP system (Currently SAP)
Drives continuous improvement process and conducts daily housekeeping/5S audits to ensure continuous improvement activities.
Troubleshoot machine and equipment issues such as faulty consumables
Work collaboratively with supervisors, managers and peers to produce a quality product in a timely manner
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
0-2 years FCAW and GMAW Welding
Basic blueprint reading
Operation of various hand and power tools
