This role offers full, hands-on training across all responsibilities, preparing you to transition into a highly independent position. A caregiver in this position works days| 7:00am—3:30pm| no weekends or holidays.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Assist with receiving, identifying, accessioning, processing, transporting, and storing specimens.
Operate laboratory equipment and performs routine instrument maintenance, trouble shooting and minor repairs.
Perform clerical duties including answering phones, data entry and filing.
Perform Quality Assurance activities.
Maintain adequate stock of supplies; performs inventory management of transporting and distributing supplies.
Keep the work area safe and organized.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
High School Diploma or GED
3 months on the job training to learn department lab procedures, instrumentation and Cleveland Clinic policies
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
1 year of lab or clerical experience
