Manager, Strategic Initiatives

The Manager, Strategic Initiatives, reporting to Senior Manager, will be accountable for project managing and designing customer communication initiatives to drive customer engagement and product balance growth.  The Manager, Strategic Initiatives will help business partners make data informed decisions to find new portfolio/customer experience growth opportunities through data analytics. This role works collaboratively with many partners across Personal and Commercial Bank, Marketing and Technology & Operations to execute strategy. The manager will be supporting Retail Investments and Wealth products.

What you will be doing:

Customer acquisition, customer experience enhancement, regulatory compliance and revenue growth - You are passionate about growing our bank. You will support product partners by executing against the growth and engagement strategy, working with our internal and external partners on programs, campaigns and enhancements that may be needed to excel.

Cross-functional Collaboration, Planning & Execution - You will partner with stakeholders from across BMO (e.g., our Frontline, Technology, Marketing, Product, and Digital teams) to support client growth and experience focused strategic initiatives: define and map end-to-end process, assess cost and feasibility, build business case, perform pre and post analysis and execute programs. Capture business requirements, establishing segmentation trees, targeting criteria, exclusions and ensuring that campaigns are designed to be measurable. You will support the creation of differentiated and profitable solutions that meet the needs of our banking partners to achieve defined measures of success.

Provide analytical insights to develop direct to consumer campaigns and opportunities

  • Contribute to the development of direct-to-consumer marketing plans, based on a thorough understanding of the data, analysis techniques and prior campaign learnings.
  • Accountable to deliver analytics, insights and reporting in line with both immediate and long-term business objectives
  • Contribute to the delivery of reports and presentations that evaluate and analyze the effectiveness of programs and initiatives
  • Develop and conduct pre-campaign analysis and insights to help drive business decisions

Process management

  • Support the lead generation cycle by monitoring and tracking process issues, making recommendations to streamline, enhance and improve overall operations
  • Troubleshoot critical issues for immediate resolution to ensure the lead generation cycle remains on track and provide required support to Leads Managers
  • Develop business process documentation for selection of customer data extracts by a team of developers, and/or using CRM applications.
  • Develop business processes and documentation for automation of marketing activities.
  • Act as a project leader for small to medium sized projects

Knowledge:

  • Minimum 3 years of campaign or database marketing or delivery experience
  • Advance knowledge of customer relationship management, campaign design and development
  • Solid and proven background in business process improvement
  • Experience in data analytics, developing and executing direct marketing campaigns, analyzing marketing campaigns and initiatives
  • Knowledge of SQL , SAS and PowerBI preferred
  • Knowledge of financial services industry preferred

Salary:

$68,000.00 - $126,000.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
