Job Description Summary

We are looking for an experienced EHS professional to support all the EHS activities according to GEV and Italy requirements in our manufacturing plant in Milan (150 employees and 3 production lines).
He/she will have the knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support management, employees and contractors with the advice and practical support that they require to comply with regulatory, GEV and customer EHS requirements

    Liaise with other functions, to ensure the proper focus on EHS including services

    Monitor applicable EHS regulations and ensure Unit’s compliance with local regulations (country/state)

    Participate to work council meetings with employees / other governing body in accordance with local regulations (country/state).

    Identify EHS training needs for the Unit in coordination with HR & EHS leadership.

    Train, coach or secure the training and coaching of action leaders, sponsors and management teams

    Plan Safety visits (Gemba walks) for management teams (including on E&C sites) and follow-up observations

    • Support the Lead of EHS audits (Governance, insurance, machines conformity, etc..)

    Report progress of EHS improvements actions

    Prepare operational budgets to fund EHS annual activities

Required Qualifications

  • This role requires advanced experience in the Legal & Environmental Health & Safety. Knowledge level is comparable to a Masters degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
  • Similar experience in an italian manufacturing site is a 'must' due to te need to comply with italian EHS rules and regulations.
  • Pragmatic approach is needed
  • Fluent in Italian and English
