Job Summary
The Registered Diagnostic Sonographer Educator collaborates with departmental management to develop and deliver competency-based training programs. Ensures appropriate materials through assessing needs and measuring effectiveness of programs.Pay Range
Minimum $49.41 Midpoint $65.47 Maximum $81.53Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.
Experience
• Required: Minimum five (5) years of cardiology experience. Minimum two (2) years in pediatric cardiology.
• Preferred: Two (2) years of clinical education experience within the specialty area.
Education
• Required: Graduate of an accredited Echocardiography program.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Echocardiography or Health Science related field.
Specialized Skills
• Required: Able to read; write and speak with professional quality; use computer and software programs necessary to the position, e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, Access; operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position. Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; provide leadership; be assertive and consistent in enforcing policies; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; lead, supervise, teach, and collaborate; accept direction. Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; work independently; perform basic math and statistical functions; manage multiple assignments; compose written material; work well under pressure; problem solve; organize and prioritize workload; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail.
Licensure
• Required: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography (RDCS-PE) credentialing in pediatric echocardiography by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Registered congenital Cardiac Sonography (RCCS) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI). Basic Life Support (BLS)
