The Opportunity:
You will be a Cyber Mission Linux & Automation Engineer to support our intel government client systems.
Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day tasks related to maintaining and enhancing a specialized network with various interfaces to client applications.
Responsible for maintaining, scheduling, executing software and hardware upgrades, patches and reconfigurations, identifying and troubleshooting hardware and software issues with workstations and servers, and continuous system monitoring.
Demonstrate the ability to create and maintain detailed documentation, be willing to partake in group collaboration/project planning, and effectively communicate issues and resolutions to all levels within the organization.
Provide support for the internal systems and networks used by our client to conduct and support mission.
Focus on designing, engineering, and implementation of complex networks that require application of best practices and compliance requirements.

Qualifications:
- Experience patching and updating Linux servers and configuring server network integration
- Experience monitoring network activity and network traffic redirection. Familiarity with proxy implementations (e.g. iptables, mod proxy, digital certificates, etc.)
- University degree or equivalent experience and minimum of 5 years related work experience
- Experience scripting with Bash (3+ years)
- Demonstrated experience with Python (1+ years)
- Demonstrated understanding of Linux OS (e.g. Debian, RHEL, Ubuntu, SELinux, etc) 3+ years
- Experience in the maintenance of various layers of network infrastructure
- Experience with infrastructure troubleshooting, to include direct interaction with vendors and service providers
- Experience with network and server hardware procurement and detailed record keeping supporting mission networks
- Experience with Linux systems administration including knowledge of and experience with:
- SELinux troubleshooting and policy configuration/creation
- Custom Linux kernel configuration and management
- Syslog, iptables, grsec experience preferred
- Multiple distributions (Debian-based and Redhat-based)
- Server systems administration and hardening proficiency, such as experience with Apache, Nginx, and Bind
- Requires active TS/SCI with required polygraph clearance
Desired:
- Knowledge of standalone automated configuration management systems (e.g. Chef Solo, Ansible, Kickstart)
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, ability to troubleshoot non-standard network infrastructure, to include VPN and NAT
- Knowledge of best defensive IT practices
- Experience with inter-disciplinary task management with occasional short turnaround tasks
- Strong analytic and critical thinking skills, including an ability to think strategically
- Ability to effectively express complex ideas and insights verbally and in writing to a variety of audiences
- Ability to remain open-minded and change opinions on the basis of new information and requirements
- Team oriented, must be able to create and adhere to schedules
- Must have a desire and ability to learn new things
- Must be able to communicate and coordinate across departments at all levels
- Ability to research latest techological developments in relevant operating systems to identify impact and anticipate changes in the organization's operating environment
- Training on the job is available
- Experience developing admin guids to document system troubleshooting, patching, and upgrading
- Experience implementing and documenting security processes and policies
- Candidate should be a self-starter and possess a willingness to dive into new technologies when appropriate
- Flexibility – works well both independently and as a team player, must be eager to learn
- Detail oriented, organized, able to multitask, and adaptable to shifting requirements

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$119,800 - $263,600
