Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Manager 2, Global Supply Chain Program Manager role to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals on the F/A-18 and F-5 programs. This position will be onsite in El Segundo. The candidate will act as the Global Supply Chain F/A-18 Post Production and F-5 Program Manager and have overall supply chain and CAM responsibilities in a dynamic role with an adapting statement of work.

Essential Functions:

The F/A-18 GSCPM organization is responsible and accountable for supporting the development of strategy, planning, and execution of all material and services content for the F/A-18 program. The GSCPM acts as a secondary focal point for the Program Management Office (PMO) for Material CAM duties and coordinates cross-functionally to ensure that all supply chain commitments are met, and that appropriate mitigation plans are developed and executed to address any programmatic risks related to suppliers. This role ensures that prior to program execution, all elements of the proposed program(s) plans have complete and accurate schedules, budgets, make/buy plans, and procurement and subcontracts strategies. This role is accountable for resource planning, material cost, forecasting, schedule performance, risk/opportunity management, supplier performance, and supply chain issue resolution. This role briefs the PMO and executive management on the status and issues affecting program cost and schedule performance.

Position Responsibilities:

This F/A-18 GSCPM Manager 2, Global Supply Chain Program Manager will specifically hold responsibility over the entirety of the supply chain for post-production, spares, repair of repairable, and service life modifications for the F/A-18 and F-5 programs. This role will create and execute a strategy to successfully manage the supply chain, both internal functions and external supplier partners, including coordination and collaboration with various other internal organizations like program management, business management, engineering, and operations.

  • Lead supply chain Program execution and is accountable for resource planning, material cost, forecasting, schedule performance, risk/opportunity management, supplier performance, and supply chain issue resolution

  • Acts as a liaison across the enterprise for supply chain activities, working across functions and departments to drive sound business decisions for program execution and process optimization.

  • Provides robust leadership and regularly interfaces with Program Management, GSC Program Management, Business Management, and Product Support

  • Functional management responsibilities include staffing, labor management, employee development, program support, and directly managing 3-5 individuals.

  • The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels

  • Candidate will be expected to build and maintain relationships across multiple program IPTs.

  • Manages important projects & priorities.

  • Acts as an advisor to leadership and internal customers.

  • The selected candidate must be a self-starter with strong organization skills, have a high level of attention to detail, and possess effective communication skills. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with at least 5 years of experience in supply chain management, project management, sustainment, proposals, procurement, resource planning OR a Master’s Degree with at least 3 years of experience in supply chain management, project management, sustainment, proposals, procurement, resource planning OR High School Diploma/Equivalent with at least 9 years of experience in supply chain management, project management, sustainment, proposals, procurement, resource planning

  • Must have Supply Chain Experience

  • Must have EVMS or CAM experience

  • Must have a minimum of 2 years experience leading a team, process, and/or projects

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Business management, supply chain, MBA, or other relevant graduate education

  • SAP experience

  • NG EVMS certification or equivalent preferred

  • Experience presenting to executive leadership and preparing executive level presentations

  • Experience in supplier negotiations

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or other project management certification

  • Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel

Salary Range: $138,100.00 - $172,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
