We are seeking a Generative AI Engineer to join our DRIVE Sim team at NVIDIA. In this role, you will be instrumental in crafting the future of autonomous vehicle technology. Simulation gives us the capability to test an autonomous vehicle in a near-infinite variety of conditions and scenarios before it even reaches the road, accelerating development time and improving the reliability of the self-driving stack at the same time. We’re looking for a talented generative AI Engineer to join the DRIVE Sim team and help make it all a reality. This meaningful role will see you working with technical visionaries within the company to define and deliver a simulation environment that advances the state of the art in autonomous vehicles.

What you will be doing

  • Study and work on ground breaking image / video based / LLM Generative AI models. Integrate the state of art tech-knowledge to provide a more efficient and reasonable synthetics scenario generation

  • Integrate the latest Generative AI tech-knowledge with simulation business to improve the efficiency/usability of DriveSim software. Contribute to the next generation of DriveSim to accelerating autonomous development

  • Architect, design and use your software engineering expertise to optimize, deploy and productize AI models. Develop clean, efficient, well-tested production code.

  • Collaborate with Research, Omniverse team inside to provide uniformed solution for all of the SDG related tasks

What we need to see:

  • Understanding of modern concepts in Deep Neural Networks, Generative AI and Diffusion Models in particular, ideally backed by meaningful contributions to open-source projects.

  • A Bachelors or Masters Degree in an Engineering or Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience. 5+ years in Machine Learning frameworks such as PyTorch, JAX or Tensorflow, ONNX Runtime, and TensorRT

  • Knowledge about RTX or PhysX with CUDA

  • Proven experience on C++, Python and parallel programming

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with the ability to work in a fast-paced and distributed team. History of mentoring junior engineers and interns is a plus.

  • Strong computer science fundamentals - algorithms and data structures, computational complexity, parallel and distributed computing, system software.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Experience with simulation or automotive, the simulation framework includes physics, traffic modeling, timing, animation systems, NPC logic

  • Working with cloud-based services

  • Experience with Universal Scene Description (USD)
