Primarily responsible for supporting, and in various instances, ensuring the completion of the procurement process related to acquisition requests made by the administrative departments within the company.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, and/or monitoring sourcing process
Responsible for developing appropriate product/service specifications with the help of a business area and/or Procurement Manager to accurately explain business needs to suppliers
Initiates or supports various non-complex sourcing processes by obtaining competitive costs from suppliers through the development, release, and receipt of Requests for Quotations (RFQ)
Negotiates costs and delivery schedules in order to establish pricing and performance standards through PO's with suppliers
Releases Purchase Orders (PO's) as generated and/or needed
Monitors delivery status, expediting shipments as required, and supplier performance issues, including completing related correspondence
Supports the preparation and processing of contract documents from suppliers
Submits documents to management for final signature and monitors return
Processes completed documents to suppliers, ensuring counter-signature and creates file' of final contracts
Use current departmental tools to enter/update, track, and monitor all acquisition contracts within the various phases of contract management including updating appropriate sources of information, and creation/filing of documents
Monitor project task reporting to support software licensing & hardware maintenance management processes within the responsibility of the Procurement group, including renewal processing
Performs other duties or projects as requested.
REQUIREMENTS:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred, or global equivalent experience
3-5 years' relevant experience in purchasing and/or indirect procurement required,
Must possess an in-depth understanding of office procurement requirements with extensive knowledge of technology (hardware/software)
