Regional HRM, ER, across Europe
As Regional HRM, ER, you will be accountable for delivering the Employee Relations (ER) service across Europe, providing targeted support to designated markets while maintaining oversight of ER activity in additional countries as required. You will manage end‑to‑end HR workplace matters—including performance and misconduct issues, investigations, and stakeholder engagement—while offering data‑driven insights on ER trends and recommending actions that mitigate risk and strengthen organisational culture.
In partnership with the Regional ER Lead, you will contribute to the development and execution of the GSK Global ER strategy. You will lead and resolve complex, multi‑jurisdictional ER cases and escalations, exercising sound judgement and prioritising informal resolution where appropriate. This role requires strong project leadership, advanced communication and influencing skills, and the ability to build trusted relationships across HR and business teams. You will also be expected to anticipate emerging ER issues, provide thought leadership to embedded HR partners, and promote a proactive, solutions‑focused approach to ER delivery.
In this role you will
Lead and resolve complex local and regional ER cases, navigating multi‑jurisdictional employment laws, internal governance requirements, and diverse stakeholder expectations to deliver outcomes aligned with GSK values. This includes full ownership of investigations, grievance management, performance and misconduct cases, and all associated procedural steps.
Exercise strategic oversight of end‑to‑end ER case management, ensuring consistency, legal compliance, and high‑quality decision‑making while anticipating risks, identifying emerging themes, and implementing preventative actions that strengthen organisational culture and reduce repeat issues.
Provide senior leadership and coaching to aligned ER team members, driving capability development, enhancing critical‑thinking skills, and embedding high‑quality case strategy approaches. Support ER colleagues across other clusters/regions by advising on complex cases, guiding risk assessments, and managing escalations with sound judgement.
Act as the recognised ER subject‑matter expert across the cluster, offering authoritative guidance and training to HRBPs, HR Country Heads and business leaders, ensuring consistent interpretation and application of ER policies, frameworks, and governance standards.
Manage global ER KPIs, using data analysis and trend insights to develop targeted action plans. Partner with HR and business leaders to implement corrective and preventative measures that enhance ER delivery and employee experience.
Share high‑quality insights to the business on ER trends, integrating data, case outcomes, and thematic analysis to influence decision‑making, shape workforce strategies, and ensure proactive management of ER‑related risks through robust governance and CAPAs.
Build strong, trusted relationships with aligned stakeholders across markets—such as HRBLs, HR Country Heads, legal partners, and business leaders—through proactive engagement, expert advice, and alignment of ER practices with organisational priorities.
Partner with the Community of Practice, Legal, and other cross‑functional teams on complex ER matters including investigations, regulatory considerations, and litigation/tribunal preparation, ensuring positions are well‑supported, risks are mitigated, and outcomes are strategically managed.
Deputise for the Regional ER Lead as required, representing ER in leadership forums, RMCBs, governance meetings, and regional discussions. Contribute to agenda‑setting, decision‑making, and continuous improvement of ER strategies and operating models.
