The Systems Engineering Integration & Test (SEIT) department is seeking a dedicated Configuration Management and Data Management (CM-DM) Analyst to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals to assist Engineering with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) System support across the Aurora campus for a set of challenging and rewarding programs.

Configuration management involves managing and controlling the technical and administrative aspects of a system to ensure it meets the specified requirements, and data management involves the development and execution of architectures, policies, practices, and procedures that properly manage the full data lifecycle.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Own the technical areas of expertise of this group including data management and configuration management for both software and hardware products.

  • Mentoring & career development, including training; ensuring and monitoring quality of work products; support of proposal activities; thought leadership; and the execution of a strategic vision for the configuration management and data management functions.

  • Collaboration with the team in the review and analysis of released engineering change data, coordinating changes with engineering, quality, mission assurance, and engineering data control activities.

  • Review contracts to determine documentation required for each phase of project and apply knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes.

  • Assists with development of configuration documentation.

  • Perform Technical Review Board and Configuration Control Board activities.

  • Process change packages through lifecycle including disposition & documentation / hardware implementation.

  • Support internal program CM-DM audits against program SOW & company processes and procedures.

  • Document management for deliverable CDRLs and non-CDRL documents and provides reporting and metrics to Management and Mission Assurance.

  • Establishing and maintaining product baselines

  • Supporting Test Readiness Reviews and CDRL releases and deliveries. 

  • Training software developers in the use of configuration management tools and the implementation of software quality standards.

  • Perform configuration identification, change control, auditing, and reporting, and the receiving and delivery (both internally and externally) of developed software products, including commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and government off-the-shelf (GOTS) software.

  • Ability to build consensus among peers while buildings solid relationships and trust with internal team members

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience; 13 years with a Master's degree; 10 years with a PhD. An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen and hold a current TS clearance, with the ability to get and maintain an active TS/SCI clearance.

  • Ability to perform and complete tasks with little to no direction.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of CM principles, concepts, practices, and standards

  • Experience working in a configuration management product life cycle system (i.e., Agile PLM, TeamCenter, CMPro, MPLM, etc.)

  • Experience working within defined engineering & development processes

  • Strong communication and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Physics

  • Experience with implementing CM in as enterprise-wide approach

  • Experience with Agile development

  • Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite

  • Experience with SW release and Build process

  • Ability to adjust to changing priorities and requirements

  • Ability to analyze/audit software products and documentation handoff from the developers

  • Experience working in an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Material Requirements Planning tool (MRP) (i.e., Oracle, SAP, etc.)

Salary Range: $130,100.00 - $195,100.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
