Job Description Summary:

Meet our team!
You will join the EMEA Risk team reporting into the Head of Risk based in Luxembourg.

Manager, Prudential Risk Management ensures compliance with EU financial and banking risk regulations, while helping drive execution on strategic initiatives, new product launches and other projects designed to drive customer value for PayPal.
You will be working closely with local and global stakeholders to enable business development by ensuring the soundness of capital, liquidity and funding management strategies, and contributes to definition of prudential footprint of PayPal Europe. You will be responsible for the execution of the stress testing program, ongoing risk management reporting and ensuring prudential compliance of new products and business initiatives.

Job Description:

  • Work as integral part of the strategic initiatives projects, contributing to evaluation of strategic initiatives and new product launches, elaboration of capital and liquidity funding plans, shaping capitalisation strategy of the entity and driving execution on prudential and financial aspects 

  • Execute second line prudential oversight for capital, liquidity and other financial risks and implement required improvements to these frameworks 

  • Work closely with various departments within the bank (e.g., Treasury, Finance, Credit) to help identify and manage financial risks embedded in their activity 

  • Operationally own the execution of the stress testing program, including ensuring adequacy of the models, definition of stress testing assumptions and operational execution of the stress tests 

  • Drive execution on key Basel III risk deliverables, including ICAAP/ILAAP; participate closely in production of Self Assessment Questionnaire, Pillar III reporting and other deliverables as required 

  • Actively support recovery and resolution programs, including ownership of Recovery Plan updates and answering the queries of the regulators 

  • Coordinate remediation and closure of risk related self-identified, regulatory and internal audit issues; act as a contact person for issue management processes 

  • Perform regulatory gap analysis and lead discussions on remediation activities, ensuring prompt identification of the upcoming regulatory changes 

  • Reporting to the relevant committees and to the regulators, with focus on risk indictors, recovery indicators, stress testing and sensitivity analysis
