Responsibilities:

  • Process Engineer is in charge to support APU on process reliability and improvement activities to have efficient
    machines and standard equipment.
    - Maintain equipment reliability and performance
    - Continuous improvement and productivity
    - Safety improvement
    - Support industrialization of new products

Maintain equipment reliability:

  • Understand product / process specifications and customer requirements; 

  • Define standard equipment documentation to use equipment properly;

  • Define process flow chart and write standard instructions;

  • Define maintenance level 1, Work Instructions and technical documentation; 

  • Train operators / set-up technicians to standard process and Work Instructions;

  • Support machine performance targets and TRP improvement;

  • Provide technical support to APUs on day to day problem solving and analysis.

Continuous Improvement and productivity:

  • Define cycle time improvement plan and contribute to -30 Plan savings;

  • Lead cycle time reduction workshops;

  • Detect muda on process and define action plan to improve machine efficiency;

  • Support productivity workshop deployment in APUs;

  • Support TPM methodology (ERIM program) and support training deployment;

  • Support VPS workshop (HOSHIN, 5S, SMED, change over…);

  • Lead process modification meeting with APU managers, understand production needs, define planning and select suppliers to achieve SQCD targets;

  • Be involved in packaging validation and internal flow improvement;

  •  Propose technical Improvements;

  • Join VPS Committee on request;

  • Review / Improve Process FMEA to reduce risks and make sure action plan is implemented (update PFMEA after APU QRQC);

Safety improvement:

  • Is responsible to eradicate ergonomic and safety issues when detected;

  • Join ergonomy and safety assessment for any new equipment, machines or relayout;

  • Perform regular audits on process to make sure operators are running equipment properly with no ergonomic and safety issues;

  • To apply the SPV rules 

  • Escalate to APU Mgrs if any deviation to standard (WI, PPE…);

  • Others: Save nature resources, energy and paper & Obey the EHS laws and related
    requirements, implement the EHS regulations, procedures and work instructions.

Industrialization of new products:

  • Support new product industrialization and modifications (ensure respect of IProM);

  • Interface with projects and Production to prepare new equipment, meet performance and  cost targets;

  • Respect and ensure respect of safety and VPS rules for new process development;

  • Manage the process development documentation, WI and support operator training;

  • Take part in pre-serial trials and FDPR (Full Day Production Runs) to confirm that the
    process is robust enough to go into mass production (Process PY check, OK-Start procedure,
    Cpk).

  • Work with Process PTM to approve standard conditions and SOP;

  • Propose technical solutions to improve machine performance and have efficient new product
    industrialization;

  • Support out-sourcing and re-insourcing activities in APUs (if any).
