Applicants must be within driving distance to our Ridgeland, MS office to be considered for this role and have the ability to commute to the office a minimum of three days per week.

 

A day in the life.

 

As a Surety Client Manager, you will:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, brokers, and other stakeholders in the surety industry.
  • Manage a portfolio of key accounts, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
  • Assess client needs and provide tailored surety bond solutions, including contract bonds, commercial bonds, and other related products.
  • Prepare and present proposals, including pricing and terms, to clients.
  • Collaborate with underwriters to evaluate risk, negotiate terms, and secure bond approvals.
  • Monitor and manage existing accounts, ensuring timely renewals and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Conduct regular reviews of client accounts to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Lead and mentor junior account managers and support staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and competitive landscape to provide informed advice to clients.
  • Assist in the development of marketing strategies to promote surety services.
  • Provide training and support to junior staff as needed.
  • Prepare and present reports and presentations to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain proper communication and build effective relationships with clients and companies.
  • Assist in gathering and organizing client information for bond requests and aid in the preparation of documentation for the underwriting process.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of bond requests.
  • Provide administrative support, including maintaining client records and managing correspondence.
  • Assist in monitoring bond portfolios and preparing status reports.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance knowledge and skills in surety bond management.

We’d love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, Risk Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in surety, insurance, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of surety bonds and underwriting processes.
  • Proven track record of managing large accounts and driving revenue growth.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with CRM software.
  • Experience in the construction and commercial surety sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of customer relationships, agency, and learning management systems (CRM, AMS, LMS), such as
  • Sagitta, ImageRight, Applied/Epic, Salesforce preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly MS PowerPoint and MS Excel.
  • Must have Property & Casualty license
  • Professional designations are preferred, such as CPCU, AFSB, or similar
