Job Description:

What You’ll Do

Responsible for leading the charge to drive technology strategy and technical capabilities for an Application ecosystem.  Leverage deep understanding of business processes and technical building blocks to design application architecture that balances business and customer needs with technical non-functional requirements for resiliency, security and efficiency. Partners with application engineers to ensure the application ecosystem is engineered according to architecture vision and continuously evolve the architecture and application to meet changing customer and business needs.                          

Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.                        

How You’ll Do It

  • Independently oversees the design process for an application and innovate unique solution patterns for that application.                

  • Demonstrates a deep understanding of business processes and technical building blocks to help develop product vision and strategy with Product Owners.      

  • Trains others in and out of your department in solution design patterns.

  • Actively researches innovative solutions and ways to build business capabilities.                

Qualifications You’ll Need
The Basics

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or related field

  • Experience in Software Development, Software Engineering or related field

  • Knowledge and experience of in Event driven Architectures like Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS Kinesis, ect

  • Experience of SQL and NoSQL databases at scale (likes of columnar, document, SQL ect.)

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Knowledge and experience of designing and building applications leveraging Java, SpringBoot ect

  • Experience in Financial services/regulated/compliance industry
