Weekly outpatient therapy isn't always enough, and a trip to the ER isn't the only answer. Patients and their families rely on Compass Health Center when in crisis – every day, we help people overcome depression, anxiety, suicidality, obsessions/compulsions, trauma, chronic pain, and other obstacles in order for our patients to live freely.

About This Role 

As an Associate Director of the Child Program, you will lead a team of Group Therapists and assist Compass leadership in the child program, while continuing to participate in active patient care. If you are passionate about working with children and their families to communicate, develop and carry out appropriate treatment plans and compassionate care, you would be an ideal addition to our team. 

What You’ll Do 

  • Implementation of program material and curriculum while maintaining efficacy and fidelity of our evidenced based models 
  • Collaborating with other leaders and Center of Excellence leaders on continued refinement of the program (i.e. addressing individual patient needs in the context of the program, etc.) 
  • Manages and supervises all group therapists within the Child Program 
  • Develop and manage daily group therapist schedule, approving PTO and managing time cards 
  • As indicated, participating in community outreach 
  • Schedule, conduct and write intakes of new patients to the program as needed 
  • Participate in interview and hiring process 
  • Train and onboard new staff within the child program and Oak Brook (may include master level interns)
  • Provide primarily individual therapy and group or family therapy, as needed 
  • Communicate with patient’s family members or support system, as needed 
  • Coordinate care with patient’s outside providers to ensure continuity of care
  • Assess patient’s progress and need for higher level of care or discharge 
  • Assist Program Director in managing and supervising clinical staff within the program. 
  • Engage in frequent communication and collaboration with team members via rounds, EMR notes, emails, and face-to-face communication 
  • Chart progress of patients appropriately 
  • Participates in professional development activities

Who You Are 

  • Master’s or Doctorate level clinician with one of the following licenses: PhD, PsyD, LCSW, or LCPC
  • Experience developing and managing programs and clinical teams
  • Experience supervising therapists, both licensed and seeing licensure
  • Knowledge and experience of group dynamics utilizing CPT, ACT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing, among other effective and efficacious treatments
  • Experience with patients in crisis
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to juggle multiple demands simultaneously in a fast paced and changing environment
  • Experience with program target population in group and individual therapy settings
