Job Description:

Discover will not sponsor or transfer employment work visas for this position.  Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

As a Principal Application Engineer, (iOS Developer), you will be part of the Mobile Platform Team responsible for managing a React Native Application and the underlining iOS and Android projects. This team supports the Discover Financial App and is responsible for managing and maintaining the React Native Environment, Xcode and Android Studio projects, 3rd party SDKs, continuous build and deployment pipelines, and researching and integrating new technologies into the application.

Minimum Qualifications

At a minimum, here’s what we need from you:

  • Bachelors – Computer Science or related
  • 6+ Years -- Information Technology, (Software) Engineering, or related

  • Internal applicants only: technical proficiency rating of proficient on the Dreyfus engineering scale

Preferred Qualifications

Bonus Points If You Have Experience with:

  • Fluent in Swift or Objective-C
  • Experience in creating, enhancing, maintaining, and testing iOS apps
  • Experience working on complex iOS apps
  • React Native
  • JavaScript
  • git
  • Xcode
  • Fastlane
  • Cocoa Pods or Carthage package managers
  • TestFlight

Compensation:

The base pay for this position generally ranges between $104,000.00 to $175,600.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
