Job Description
Peterson Trucks has the need for an experienced Service Manager at our Santa Rosa, CA location.
SUMMARY
The Service Manager, Trucks is responsible for all service department activities, including directing repairs, maintenance, and other activities relevant to providing excellent service to customers and other departments of the store.

JOB SCOPE
This position serves in the capacity of the Service Manager, Trucks to provide direction and leadership to direct reports and fulfill company needs through this job function. General discretion and judgment are exercised routinely in the execution of job duties. If errors in judgment or professional execution of responsibilities are made, the consequences to the Business Unit can be serious.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manager is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of various employees within the Service Department of the Business Unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and implementing corrective action with employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. When work deficiencies are identified takes prompt and effective measures to correct areas needing improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associates Degree from a fully accredited college or vocational/technical school in Diesel Technology or closely related field; and a minimum of six years of directly related experience in truck/tractor/heavy equipment service; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Must possess thorough knowledge of repair and servicing on highway trucks and components and have a current working knowledge of Navistar and Idealease requirements for vehicle maintenance.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
· Maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
The annual pay range for this position is: $101,000 - $125,000. We also offer a total compensation package in addition to base salary.
