About the Position

Dexis is recruiting for a Catalytic Investments - Risk Training Consultant to support a U.S. Government Institution. 

This role is crucial in developing and implementing training programs that enhance the risk management capabilities of our team and stakeholders involved in catalytic investments. You will design, deliver, and assess training initiatives that focus on risk assessment, mitigation strategies, and best practices in the development finance sector.

Work is primarily performed at the U.S. Agency's office in Washington, DC. Remote work may be permitted in accordance with the contract.

This position is contingent upon award. 

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop comprehensive training programs and materials focused on risk management for catalytic investments. Tailor content to address the specific needs of different audiences, including internal teams and external partners.
  • Conduct engaging training sessions, workshops, and seminars. Utilize various training methods and technologies to effectively communicate complex risk concepts and tools.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify training needs and gaps in knowledge related to risk management. Conduct assessments to ensure that training programs address current and emerging challenges.
  • Create and update training curricula that incorporate best practices, industry standards, and lessons learned from previous projects. Ensure that materials are relevant, accurate, and aligned with the agency’s objectives.
  • Develop and implement evaluation mechanisms to assess the effectiveness of training programs. Gather feedback from participants and make necessary adjustments to improve training outcomes.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning by sharing knowledge, insights, and resources related to risk management. Facilitate discussions and knowledge exchanges among team members and stakeholders.
  • Maintain detailed records of training activities, participant progress, and feedback. Prepare reports on training outcomes and impact for senior management.
  • Work closely with other departments, risk management experts, and external trainers to ensure the integration of best practices and innovative approaches in training programs.

Qualifications 

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Master's degree in Finance, Risk Management, Business Administration, Education, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in risk management, training, or a related field, with a focus on development finance or catalytic investments.
  • Strong instructional design skills with the ability to create engaging and effective training content. Experience designing and delivering training programs.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
  • Deep understanding of risk management principles, practices, and tools.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously.
  • Ability to adapt training methods and materials to meet the needs of different audiences and evolving risk management challenges.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Advanced degree or certifications in risk management or training (e.g., Certified Risk Management Professional) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with development finance, catalytic investments, and blended finance models is a plus.
  • Development finance or international development sectors experience is preferred.
