About the Role
Undertaking nursing duties and case management duties, within the strengths model of recovery orientated practice in the CCU. Liaising with families and internal and external families, allied health and medical professionals.

  • Administer medication in accordance with hospital procedures, protocols and policies
  • Contribute effectively in clinical review processes and team activities
  • Maintenance of all documentation in line with SVMH policies


Classifications for this position will range from Psychiatric enrolled Nurse Level 2 PE21 – YD22 ($70,751 - $73,897 per annum pro rata)



Your Contribution

You will work across St Vincent’s Community Care Unit, providing a high standard of care in accordance with the Strengths model under a recovery oriented framework working closely with the medical and multidisciplinary teams to achieve a positive outcome for all consumers and their families.

You will be offered a range of learning opportunities to develop specialist skills and the opportunity to operate as part of an integrated Adult Area Mental Health Service.

  • Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in nursing which meets the registration requirements of APHRA
  • Enrolled Nurse.  Medication Endorsement.
  • Post registration qualification in relevant area of specialty or in process of achieving same.
  • Current National Criminal History Check, or willing to obtain

About Footbridge CCU

Footbridge Community Care Unit (CCU), through a multidisciplinary team approach, provides ongoing specialist treatment and support to meet the identified needs of consumers who suffer with a serious mental illness, and associated high level of psycho-social complexities in the City of Yarra and Boroondara.

Footbridge CCU is a 20 bed service which operates under a framework for recovery orientated practice, utilizing the strengths model. It is a 24 hour residential mental health service.
