What impact you’ll make

The AERO Quality Leader is responsible for leading and continuously improving the overall quality performance of the AERO organization, integrating production quality, process quality, and aero test quality activities.
The role ensures product conformity, safe and compliant operations, and effective quality governance across manufacturing, testing, and new product introduction activities.
The AERO Quality Leader provides strategic and operational leadership to Production Quality Engineers, Process Quality Engineers, and the Production Quality Leader, while working in close cooperation with Engineering, Manufacturing, Test, and Supply Chain organizations to achieve customer satisfaction, compliance, and competitiveness.

Job Description

What you’ll do

  • Define and deploy the AERO quality strategy aligned with business, customer, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure harmonized quality processes across production, process, and aero test areas.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, internal quality standards, and applicable technical regulations.
  • Lead Production Quality Engineers, Process Quality Engineers, and the Production Quality Leader directly.
  • Ensure effective quality planning based on drawings, specifications, and engineering requirements.
  • Drive disposition of non-conformities in cooperation with Design Engineering where required.
  • Monitor and improve key quality KPIs (e.g. Defect rate, FPY, NCR trends, COPQ, scrap, customer claims).
  • Initiate and lead corrective and preventive actions across quality and manufacturing organizations.
  • Define and oversee quality aspects of aero test strategies for static and dynamic testing of Aero units.
  • Ensure test processes, test documentation, and test execution meet quality, safety, and technical requirements.
  • Provide quality leadership for LM6000, LM2500, TM2500 and related package testing activities.
  • Support engineering validation and NPI activities from a quality and compliance perspective.
  • Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies and other methods which are aligned with GE Vernova directions, e.g.: Built in Quality, Zreo Defect Framework
  • Improve quality and test processes to reduce cycle time, deviations, and cost of poor quality
  • Lead cross-functional quality problem-solving and root cause analysis.
  • Represent AERO quality on internal and external audits.
  • Ensure timely closure of audit findings and NCRs.
  • Support customer communication related to quality and test issues as required.

What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)

  • Technical University (MSc/BSc) degree (Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent)
  • Several years of experience in quality and testing, or equivalent manufacturing operations
  • Leadership experience in a production or engineering environment
  • Experience with power generation or aero-related equipment preferred
  • Fluent English and Hungarian communication skills
