About This Opportunity
The Queensland Centre for Gynaecological Cancer (QCGC), part of UQCCR, is dedicated to advancing care standards for women experiencing gynaecological cancer through innovative research.
We are seeking a highly motivated and organised Senior Clinical Trial Coordinator to join our dynamic research team. Based at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital campus in Herston, you will play a pivotal role in managing and operating multi-centre gynaecological oncology studies. From feasibility to initiation, you’ll oversee trial coordination and contribute to the day-to-day success of various research projects.

Key responsibilities will include:
Prepare and develop research project documents, including ethics and governance submissions, study protocols, standard operating procedures, and case report forms, while assisting in database development.
Monitor study progress and provide reports to stakeholders.
Coordinate with national and international study sites, collaborators, and key stakeholders to ensure adherence to protocols and effective communication.
Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements, ethics committee approvals, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines in each country.
Supervise and mentor junior staff, manage patient recruitment strategies, and oversee patient safety, including reporting adverse events.
Ensure accurate and complete documentation of all trial activities.
Coordinate logistics for site setup, including shipment of study materials and equipment.
Manage external vendor relationships and assist with Clinical Trial Research Agreements.

About You
Tertiary qualifications in Science or a related health field (e.g., Nursing) or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a clinical trial supervisor is essential, and ideally in a cancer care setting.
Strong knowledge and skills in clinical trial management, including compliance with ICH Good Clinical Practice Guidelines, the National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Research, and Australian regulatory and ethical requirements.
Excellent communication and writing skills, with experience drafting and editing research protocols and reports, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems.
Demonstrated experience preparing human research ethics and governance submissions for clinical trials.
Proven ability to coordinate complex projects across national and international sites, maintain confidentiality, and deliver high-quality results within deadlines.
The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including: right to work in Australia and mandatory immunisations.
