The Role
Fidelity Charitable software engineers develop next-generation technology that directly impacts how our customers accomplish their philanthropic goals. As a Software Engineer within our technology business unit, you will help take Fidelity Charitable applications to the next level of evolution. The position will require hands-on software development, cross team collaboration with a diverse and co-located engineering team, and the ability to visualize customer issues as drivers for internal change.
As a member of the team you’ll craft and influence creative solutions that meet not only functional, but also performance, scalability and reliability requirements.
Can conceptualize Object Oriented design and engineering design patterns
Hands on experience with building RESTful Web Services/APIs
Work as a member of a high functioning Agile team to help drive the next generation user experience for Fidelity Donors, Reps, and Advisors
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or equivalent
Experience in SCRUM, SAFe, or other agile development processes
Love of programming and rock-solid in Java, Spring Boot and other Open Source stack technologies
Familiarity or experience in front-end frameworks and web technologies including Angular, HTML/CSS, JavaScript or Typescript and web components
Understanding the importance of SDLC standard methodologies
Comprehension of version control system management using various Git workflows
Passion for continuous integration and continuous delivery
Your ability to work on an innovative application through all phases of software development including design, implementation, and deployment
Your proven collaboration skills with the ability to collaborate with other developers and co-workers to produce high-quality, timely work
You produce clean, secure, unit-tested, and refactored code
Perform code reviews within the team
Strive to raise everyone's game, including your own
