JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Program Manager – Controls and Automation Engineer focuses on optimizing the performance and sustainability of our data center operations and construction project efforts. The Senior Program Manager – Controls and Automation Engineer will be an integral member of the Controls and Monitoring team and sets the example for others by positively exemplifying ebay values.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Design, develop, and maintain control systems specifically tailored for data center infrastructure, including power distribution, cooling, and mechanical systems.
· Monitor system performance, analyze data, and adjust controls to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
· Support integration and maintenance of Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management Systems (EPMS) to enhance data monitoring and operational efficiency.
· Collaborate internal teammates and other stakeholders to integrate controls solutions that support the ebay operational goals.
· Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and optimization of existing control systems to ensure reliability and performance standards are consistently met.
· Prepare technical documentation and standard operating procedures for system operations and maintenance.
· Contribute to the completion of other key initiatives as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
· Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field.
· Minimum of five years of experience in controls engineering with a focus on data center operations or similar critical environment.
· Demonstrated expertise in programming, configuring, and managing PLCs, SCADA, and HMIs within BMS and EPMS systems in a data center or critical environment.
· Proficient understanding of data center infrastructure systems, including electrical and mechanical systems.
· Familiarity with industry-standard communication protocols such as EtherNET/IP, Modbus, and BACnet, and most importantly Rockwell Factory talk
· Strong capabilities in data analysis, problem-solving, and system optimization.
· Ability to interpret and utilize complex technical drawings and schematics.
· Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale control system projects from conception to implementation.
The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:
$115,200 - $192,200Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
