Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Plan, execute, and deliver complex data management and governance projects on time and within scope.
  • Data Governance Expertise: Implement and advance enterprise data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with business data stewards, technical teams, and senior leadership to ensure alignment and adoption of governance practices.
  • Risk & Compliance: Identify and manage data-related risks; ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, BCBS 239).
  • Technical Oversight: Coordinate technical teams for metadata management, master data management, and data quality initiatives.
  • Process Improvement: Develop scalable solutions and strategies to enhance data governance capabilities and operational efficiency.
  • Reporting & Metrics: Establish and monitor KPIs to measure project success and governance effectiveness.
  • PMP or equivalent certification preferred, Agile experience a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management with a focus on data management and governance.
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles, data quality frameworks, and metadata management.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, NIST AI RMF).
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience with AI-ready data initiatives and data risk management. Preferred
  • Exposure to cybersecurity and technology control design related to data protection. Preferred
  • Ability to design and implement evergreen solutions for governance scalability. Preferred
  • Familiarity with Collibra or similar data governance tools (e.g., Informatica, Alation). Preferred
