Job Description

Join our Global Technology Services Management and Support Team!

How will you contribute:

Collaborating with our AVP of IT Asset and Configuration Management; you will be responsible for governing the global IT asset management process and to lead a team of hardware and software asset management professionals.

With a focus on the end-to-end lifecycle management of all on-premise and virtual assets from acquisition to decommission, inventory management, and process governance; ensuring asset details are accurately discovered and populated in the CMDB/CMS, asset and configuration item (CI) data are up to date to support change, incident and problem management, and patching, cyber vulnerabilities and EOL/EOS are supported.

This role is key to Manulife’s digital transformation, including retooling and evolving the processes for efficiency. We are looking for a candidate with a demonstrable record of technical and enterprise-scale ITAM hardware and software leadership, and success in leading teams through transformational change.

Responsibilities:

  • Support business segment needs for technical support, asset cycle and upgrade protection on applicable products by ensuring that maintenance, support, and upgrade protection renewals are managed/handled/ordered in advance of their expiration.
  • Identify and gather cost savings and cost avoidance opportunities for renewals, upgrades, software licensing, and services.
  • Ensure data completeness and quality standards are maintained in the CMDB.
  • Ensure all activities are aligned with standard reporting requirements and audits.
  • Build relationships across the organization with Finance, Sourcing, Procurement, Cybersecurity, Technology Governance, and other partners.
  • Develop, document, implement, and maintain governance processes, procedures, and policies.
  • Define, create, and review ITAM health reports, dashboards, and other reports that support auditing and compliance.
  • Serve as ITAM domain authority and main point of contact for assessments and audits on the ITAM function.
  • Be a great partner with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to facilitate smooth flow of services.

What we are looking for:

  • 10+ years’ experience managing IT assets in a complex, regulated, enterprise-scale environment.
  • IT Asset Manager certification (CHAMP) and/or (CITAM) preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of software licensing, contracts, audit and managing software entitlements to establish a compliance position.
  • Working directly with a major software vendor, reseller, or distributor.
  • Experience with Oracle, IBM, Microsoft, Adobe, Red Hat and other major vendors licensing rules and formats.
  • Experience using and leading teams trained to use ServiceNow Asset Management, Flexera, USU, ILMT or other industry ITAM tools.
  • Confident presentation and facilitation skills, good interpersonal and leadership qualities to enable engagement with senior management and collaborators at all levels.
  • Ability to create and effectively communicate a strategy for a variety of partners and audiences.

Salary & Benefits

The annual base salary for this role is listed below.

Primary Location

Toronto, Ontario

Salary range is expected to be between

$107,730.00 CAD - $200,070.00 CAD
