The Cloud Engineering Lead will build out and lead the Cloud Engineering team in India, reporting to the Head of Cloud Engineering in New York.  They will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable cloud-based solutions to support the organization's infrastructure and application needs. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with cloud platforms, a strong understanding of cloud architecture, and a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.

What you’ll do

• Develop and implement cloud architecture strategies that align with business goals and technical requirements.
• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability, scalability, and security.
• Design and implement automated solutions for cloud provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes.
• Ensure cloud solutions comply with industry standards and best practices for security and data protection.
• Monitor cloud performance and identify areas for improvement to optimize resource utilization and cost efficiency.
• Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to integrate cloud solutions with existing systems and processes.
• Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and industry trends to recommend and implement innovative solutions.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud architecture, processes, and procedures.
• Coach and mentor junior cloud engineering staff.

What’s REQUIRED

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.  
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in cloud engineering or a related field, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role. 
• Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. 
• Strong knowledge of cloud architecture patterns and best practices. 
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible. 
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. 
• Understanding of network architecture and security principles. 
• Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect) are highly desirable.
