Job Summary:
The Supply Planning Director is responsible for determining the purchasing strategies that enable the company to reach seasonal and long-range growth and inventory targets. Oversees team responsible for creation, communication, and successful execution of seasonal and monthly capacity and supply purchasing plans. Develops strategies to meet the unique business needs of each brand, channel, and region and merges these into an overarching seasonal approach. Engages with senior business leaders across functions to ensure transparency and alignment to the purchasing strategies for upcoming seasons. 

Responsibilities:
20% Leads a high-performance team of direct reports. Provides coaching and guidance to maximize the contribution of each individual and team within the enterprise. Builds and communicates individual and team goals and performance measures. Supports development planning and motivates team members to maximize individual satisfaction and performance.

15% Collaborates with senior planning and manufacturing leaders as well as regional/brand commercial leaders to establish supply planning metrics and strategies for the season. Tracks and distributes metrics to global manufacturing, regional partners, and the greater organization. Maintains positive open lines of communication with management and outside suppliers to contribute to the smooth flow of information and efficient operation of the organization.

15% Partners with materials planning to ensure alignment of strategies on finished goods and raw materials.

10% Determines, drives, and supports system and process evolution for global supply planning.

5% Leads analytics strategy and partners with supply chain analytics to develop innovative tools and reporting insights into supply and materials planning across the company.

10% Leads and represents team in initiatives that further supply-chain capabilities and talent strategies.

10% Partners with manufacturing to forecast purchasing flow and capacity needs for season, including capacity utilization goals. Creates and leads strategies for achieving goals and tracking performance throughout seasonal execution.

10% Drive high levels of planning accuracy. Enables and increases risk analysis for finished goods. Gains alignment with manufacturing and demand stakeholders for highest resource use with tempered risk. Strategizes with sourcing and manufacturing partners each season to ensure mutual understanding of supply planning and sourcing efforts and aligns where possible. Innovates on process and procedure. Champions regional and brand engagement through differentiated processes, strategy communication, and action-based review of results. 

5% Performs other duties as assigned.

Additional Requirements:
• Bachelor's or masters degree, or applicable certification or equivalent experience.
• Typically requires 8 years functional experience.
• Experience managing both individual contributors and supervisors/managers.
• Manages employees in a global sub-function doing similar work or manages multiple teams doing similar work.
• Master’s degree in Supply Chain or Business Administration (MBA)
• Supply Chain specific certifications such as CSCP or CPIM preferred but not required
• 5+ years’ experience in managing individual contributors and managers
• Apparel/Footwear industry experience desired.
• Applies knowledge of key business drivers and the factors that maximize performance of area(s) managed; interprets business challenges. 
• Superior analytical and reasoning skills
• Strong project management, resource deployment and strategic problem-solving skills
• Comfort and skill engaging at all levels of the organization including with senior leadership  Strong presentation and communication skills
• Broad understanding of supply chain processes, procedures, and structure
• Strong business acumen and knowledge of industry landscape
• Proven leadership and people management skills
• Proven experience collaborating and influencing in a matrix organization, including cross-functional negotiation and alignment
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite with emphasis on PowerPoint and Excel
• Advanced SAP or Supply Chain Management / Planning software skills (Blue Yonder, Logility, Oracle, etc.) desired.
• Previous work with other cultures in a business setting and awareness of and sensitivity to cultural differences desired.

Collaboration is generally conducted in person unless the role has been pre-approved for remote work.
