Your Impact

The Curriculum and Instructional Design Manager is responsible for the learning design and delivery of DISCO Product Certifications and internal learning and development programs at DISCO. They work closely with cross-functional teams to identify training needs, design innovative learning solutions, and ensure the effective delivery of learning programs.

What You'll Do

  • Lead Curriculum Development: Drive the end-to-end curriculum development process, from needs analysis and design to development, delivery, and evaluation. 
  • Mentorship and Oversight: Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to a global team of curriculum developers and learning coordinators. 
  • Curriculum Strategy: Collaborate with leadership and key stakeholders to understand business needs and take that input to develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum strategy for DISCO University. Identify and address content gaps, leverage emerging technologies, and align learning initiatives with the organization's strategic goals.
  • Innovative Learning Design: Apply adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies to create engaging and effective learning experiences. Partner with subject matter experts to develop custom learning solutions that address specific knowledge and skill gaps. Curate licensed content to supplement in-house development.
  • Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce quality assurance processes to maintain the highest standards of excellence in all learning materials. Develop and implement efficient workflows and documentation standards to streamline the curriculum development process.
  • Data-Driven Improvement: Track and analyze key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of learning programs. Use data-driven insights to inform decisions, identify areas for improvement, and continuously enhance the learner experience.
  • Foster Collaboration: Promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment. Facilitate effective communication and knowledge sharing among curriculum developers, project stakeholders, leadership, and subject matter experts.
  • Lifelong Learning: Stay abreast of the latest trends and best practices in learning and development. Attend industry conferences, participate in professional development activities, and explore innovative technologies to enhance the organization's learning programs.
  • Strategic Learning Initiatives: Serve as the go-to expert for cross-functional learning design efforts, supporting initiatives and special projects beyond the DISCO University curriculum strategy to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
    Training Facilitation: Deliver impactful training sessions, using engaging facilitation techniques to connect with diverse audiences and drive learning outcomes.

Who You Are

  • 8+ years’ experience as a curriculum/courseware developer, including the use of common elearning applications (ex. Articulate 360, Captivate, Camtasia, Adobe Creative Cloud, Audacity, Mentimeter, etc.)
  • Bachelor in Education or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of assessment strategies, teaching and learning methodologies, and optimizing learning experiences for a global audience in multiple formats (ex. video, live, virtual, interactive eLearning)
  • Proven expertise translating complex technical concepts into logical and digestible learning content
  • Strong written & verbal communication, project management, and design thinking skills

Even Better If You Have…

  • Experience working with a globally dispersed group of high-performing professionals
  • Experience developing courses for technology companies, sales and/or SaaS products as well as services
  • Experience or expertise in the legal industry and its practice is a plus
  • Graphic design experience, including video editing and production
  • Proficiency using learning management systems
