Principal Product Manager - thinkFolio

The Organization:

The Product:

thinkFolio, originated from IHS Markit, is a leading multi-asset investment management platform that delivers sophisticated capabilities across Portfolio Modelling, Order Management & Trading, Cash & FX Management and Compliance. Asset managers and asset owners leverage thinkFolio as a trusted, reliable, and centralized platform to scale their global investment operations. thinkFolio's flexible, modular design allows it to be implemented as a single, integrated front-office solution or deployed for specific business units or asset classes. The platform is delivered as a managed service, supporting investment firms that want to reduce costs, maximize flexibility, enhance scale, and achieve time-to-market objectives.

We also aim to develop a leading Total Portfolio Platform that will help asset managers and owners oversee their whole portfolio, end-to-end across private and public investments. The platform will provide investors with the ability to: See everything they own in one view, understand risk through many lenses, and evaluate performance across the entire portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy and Vision: Develop and communicate a clear product vision for multi-asset portfolio construction, management & trading. Ability to construct and present high level product briefs. Deliver and clarify consistent messaging of the product direction for the stream.
  • Product Execution: Translate business opportunities, customer needs, and business goals into a product development roadmap.   Enable new product development initiatives supporting product launches, feature and enhancements, and simplification initiatives.  
  • Influencing People: Responsibility for co-ordination with other stakeholders in the steam (e.g. engineering, design, professional services).   Interaction with users and key stakeholders to demo and explain new features.  
  • Customer Insight: Use data to create meaningful insights into the future direction of the product.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong knowledge of Fixed Income, listed & OTC derivatives lifecycle from order generation to trade settlement.
  • Strong knowledge of investment analytics,  portfolio construction and portfolio management workflows
  • An understanding of trading technology including OMS, EMS, Exchanges & Regulated Venues.
  • Exceptional communications and presentation skills across multiple audiences ranging from peers to senior executives.  
  • 5+ years experience; minimum 1 to 3 years’ experience working in within financial services, preferably a buy side investment organization or software vendor servicing this sector.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Economic preferred,  CFA charter designation or working towards a CFA charter designation a plus
