What You’ll Get to Do:

As a CACI Navy EOD Capability Developer you will be responsible for supporting NAVAF, and OSC-Tunis to plan and execute EOD training development, training, and enhance capabilities with Tunisian EOD units in Bizerte, Tunisia. You will deliver full spectrum EOD training support to the Partner Nation through current and customized training, lecture, and exercise in the conduct of the Partner Nation unit’s assigned METL tasks and in support of training objectives. The Navy EOD Capability Developer will deliver courses in classroom and field environments that focus on the application of practical theory through hands-on exercises and scenario-based practice events. Assigned topics will be presented in accordance with approved NAVAF and OSC curricula and programs of instruction (POIs).  Upon training completion, trainers will submit written recommendations and an After Actions Review (AAR) for updates or future training requirements to ensure continued NAVAF program execution outcomes are met. You will evaluate students and provide recommendations to NAVAF on the proficiency of the trained personnel.   

  More About this Role:

  • As a Navy EOD Capability Developer, you will collaborate extensively with the Partner Nation and NAVAF to facilitate effective coordination for successful execution of all phases of the training and exercise cycles, including planning, preparation and setup, execution, and recovery. You will provide subject matter expertise on all phases of the training cycle and the Partner Nation’s assigned equipment.
  • Conduct initial assessments and gap analysis of Partner Nation’s Naval EOD capabilities and capacity to enable future requirements.
  • Develop tailored SOPs for training execution and scheduling, including a detailed training plan/schedule.
  • Facilitate and lead hotwashes and AARs that provide feedback on how the training objectives were met.
  • At the conclusion of training, facilitate and lead AARs to identify any lessons learned and corrective actions needed and to continuously refine the training materials.
  • Official travel to countries in the AFRICOM area of operation for the purposes of mission support is required, up to one year in duration.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications: 

  • US Navy graduate of Naval School - Explosive Ordnance Disposal.
  • Graduate of EOD Diver Assessment and Training COI.
  • Successful completion of Underwater Phase - NAVSCOLEOD.
  • Master Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician (5337).
  • EOD Team Leader; during combat operations.
  • Range Safety Officer - Explosives.
  • Demolition, Burn Operations Supervisor (DBOS)
  • EOD Diving Supervisor; conducted underwater reconnaissance, disposal and/or render-safe of IED, UXO and/or sea mine.
  • SCUBA and Mixed gas Re-breather Diver.
  • Helicopter Rope Suspension Technique and Cast Master (HRST/CAST).
  • IED, UXO, CBRN-E exploitation SME.
  • US Navy Coxswain certification.
  • Homemade Explosives (HME) COI graduate.
  • Active duty experience as a Senior-NCO/OIC in an EOD "response" role; minimum 10 years.
  • Combat duty experience; minimum 8 years.
  • EOD Operations and/or Readiness and Training Senior-NCO/OIC experience
  • Direct development of EOD training curriculum for Partner Nation forces.
  • Conducted Partner Nation EOD training and evaluation during a; combat deployment, Individual Augmented (IA) and/or Joint Combined Exchange training (JCET).
  • US Dept. of State, US Embassy, Defense attaché and/or Non-Government Agency partnership/support experience.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have: 

  • Prior experience deploying under AFRICOM, SOCAF and/or NAVAF operating as an EOD Technician.
  • NAVY EOD Mine Counter Measures Detachment deployment experience.
  • SOF operational experience.
  • International Humanitarian Demining Training/Instructor experience
  • National Labs Advanced COI experience
  • Prior Title 10 USC 127e experience.
  • Arabic and/or French speaker.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$74,600-$156,700
