We are seeking a talented professional to join the BCS Team at the Center of Excellence in Bogota, Colombia. This hybrid role requires at least three days per week in the office.
The BCS US&C Leader will design and deliver operational plans and projects that align with established standards and regulatory requirements. You will ensure that data, tools, and processes reliably support business and client needs. As an Operations Leader, you will motivate and guide a multi-team department to execute strategy, hit operational targets, and drive continuous improvement.
We will rely on you to:
- Participate in the design of the operations and technology strategy, optimize operations, and support the company’s strategic growth.
- Manage opportunities for standardization, automation, efficiency, and quality improvement; quantify impact, prioritize initiatives, and develop execution plans.
- Proactively monitor and report on industry or regional trends, competitors, and macroeconomic and regulatory developments to ensure that operational capabilities optimally position the business to compete and respond to change within the designated jurisdiction.
- Adapt and lead the implementation of capability models to deliver optimal operations within brokerage operations.
- Oversee operational processes through established service level agreements (SLAs) service, cost, quality, and other key performance indicators — and communicate/report results to key stakeholders.
- Manage and execute contingency plans for the operation when required.
- Maintain an optimal organizational structure and recruit, develop, manage, and motivate a high performing, results oriented, responsible, and collaborative team; ensure optimal resource allocation and expense management aligned with strategic intent.
- Manage a culturally appropriate approach tailored to the needs of geography to be served, as a core and guiding strategy for the entire operation.
- Ensure proper knowledge transfer to colleagues.
- Develop strategies to optimize the teams’ learning curve.
- Manage teams and colleagues comprehensively
What you need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Master’s degree in Finance, Process Management, Insurance, or an MBA.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience leading teams and managing people, preferably within the insurance industry.
- Fluency in English and Spanish (C1).
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Proven problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues in a fast‑paced environment.
